Official Duke/UNC 2016-17 Thread

I do believe that when you bring in a class full of one-and-dones, it can be a challenge to get them all to gel together to form a great team. Those teams have a ceiling. And this year, that ceiling......

Is the roof.

It's funny how he is a team player, but you guys had many of the same things to say about James Mcadoo. Interesting

I don't really need to. You've been slurping Maye all season and it paid off for you. Congrats on the win. It looks like you guys have this one all locked up.

The funny thing about Maye, at least it's funny to me, is that he would be the prototypical Duke player that I, and many others, would hate on if he was playing for y'all.

Pretty much. He's a good basketball player, he's smart and coachable . I'll be interested to see how he handles tonight going forward, because that kind of play usually only goes 1 way or the other. He's either going to keep playing well with massive confidence or he has hit his "roof". Not that Maye is in the same stratosphere as Laettner, but CL played horribly against Indiana and for a half against Michigan after his buzzer beater vs UK.

Oregon matchup is interesting to me. Seems like a lesser Duke squad.

Jackson> Pritchard
Kennard >Ennis
Allen=Dorsey
Tatum> Brooks
Jefferson<Bell

Dorsey and Bell are playing at a high level right now, and they can get hot from 3.

Long drought continues for "conference of champions" Most NCAA athletes weren't born last time pac12 won NCAA title

Of all the ways for that game to end, once Oregon pulled within one point, that was not the one I saw coming.

You'd be hard-pressed to see an ending to a game like that again if you watched college basketball another decade or more.
