al sharpton criticizing christie's oratory. hilarious. the rambling man himself arguing that Christie was incoherent and contradictory.

He nevered mention Obama. Not enough of a historian to know if that is routine or not in keynote speeches. If that is not the norm, then that was a brilliant idea.

How about we stipulate that MSNBC will cover the RNC convention in a critical manner while Fox will do the same for the DNC convention ? Save everybody some time.

I missed most of Last night. I saw Nikki Haley, Ann Romney and Chris Christie.

I was very impressed with Nikki Haley.

I don't think Ann Romney's speech helped that much. I think she came across well. She is a very attractive lady and did a good job of giving her speech. I feel it lacked substance. I think she tried too hard to make her and Mitt a nornal couple, that may hurt a little. Everyone knows they are filthy rich. There is nothing wrong with being rich, just embrace it.

Chris Christie is the man. I enjoyed how he delivered his speech. He comes across as a normal guy. He can communicate with the average American.
I have heard some bad reports by some of the media that he went too long before saying Romney's name.
I wish he was the nominee.

I look for Ryan to "bring it" tonight. I think he will give a fanastic speech.

MSNBC was ridiculous last night with their coverage. I'm sure that Hannity will be awful during the DNC, but Matthews and Maddow were untolerable.

You are pretty much opposite the media pundit take - most gave Ann Romney rave reviews but not so much for Christie.

I didn't see either (though I DVR'd them) so I can't comment.

I'm totally done, myself. I was registered an R so I could vote for RP, but the treatment of Gary Johnson in the nomination process, and the recent events leading up to, and during the RNC have proved to me that the GOP is not going to change. Going independent.

The GOP won't change. And I hope they die a quick death because of it... but only after this election.
