Official Gramps' Memorial Eternal OT Thread

I think our front seven need to get into the backfield a lot more to disrupt the offense. I also believe that's the key to throwing UGA off balance. Force Stetson to move and we've got a punchers chance.

The last play in the FL game supports that. Seems like if the defensive backfield isn't up to pass protection, the best thing you can do is disrupt what the QB is trying to do. I guess it's a gamble either way, but some of the most entertaining games I've seen are when the defense is aggressive and really goes after the QB and shuts down the passing game. The sad part is that whether it's not enough guys rushing or some other reason, our defensive players always seem just a step too slow to make the big play for sacks or turnovers. To me that's a huge part of the game, and I hate how holding has basically become legal and changed the game.

So my starting to become regular Tuesday golf foursome was full today which I was honestly hoping for because I wanted to go out alone and play a 9 hole I used to play back in the day to work on my approach shots. Which is exactly what I did. And it was so damn peaceful and I played relaxed and loose. Just felt good and I shot better than I have been doing lately. I’m far from setting the scorecards on fire but today was exactly the kind of golf I want to play in retirement. So damn peaceful.

You got a membership at a club? Any good public courses?

I used to play everywhere around Nooga. Bestest place ever for view. I kid you not..it has to be 7-8 miles around that track as there are no holes and it could be 1/2 mile from one hole to the next. Absolutely stunning

No membership and not planning on it right now. I’ve probably got 20 public/muni courses in a 10 mile radius around my house and they’re all nice courses. At this 9 hole golf or cheap too. $20 for 18 holes including cart if I want to play it twice which I did. It’s a muni course now and much cheaper than it used to be back in the day.

$20 for 18 holes? What a bargain.

I lost that order a couple of months ago to Bridgestone Golf in Covington. Dude said he would hook me up with all the Golf Balls I could handle if I got the order, but lost it on that dang 28 week lead-time. They wanted my machine, but competition provided them a free loaner and we do not have squat in our rental fleet. And the B330 was always my fav ball. Dangit.

Having them as a customer would of been awesome. They even do the aerodynamics and design there. Dude was telling me about new dimple patterns for flight and stuff.

Gut tells me..Dallas purchases a small bucket of range balls and surreptitiously loads his bag with such.
At the $5.99 Blue Plate Special, places one of the few hairs on his head, a follicle in his food after 98% completion, subsequently addressing his disgust to the waiter and getting it at no charge.

Neighbor across the street is a member at another course nearby. I just go with him and get all the free range balls I want 😎
