So golf last Wednesday after a hard 3 hours of “work”, golf today with no “work”, bass fishing tomorrow morning till around 3pm, then my Vols on Saturday night football, my Cowboys on Sunday, golf again next Wednesday after likely 3 more hours of “work”, then more golf on Friday with no “work” again. Damn this retired gig is hard “work” 😜

Right there with you! I worked 28 hrs last week and vacating for the next 10 days. Played Gatlinburg Country Club today, playing Bent Creek tomorrow morning then on in to Knoxville to Salute The Hill and watch an asskicking that is due for some roosters from out of town. Been looking forward to this one since the day we shat the bed there last season.

I cannot fathom coming off of 4-8 and 3-7 campaigns and playing even last season with 20+ LESS scholarship players than every opponent we played to amazingly have our team finish in the top 10 in YEAR 2 with wins in the same season over Bama, LSU on the road, Flarduh, AND Clemson in a beatdown....only to be called "mediocre" by fans!!!!

Whats worse is that isn't even close to some of the insults I have seen hurled CJH's way this season since we got beat by an inferior team in Gainesville. We had the no1 offense in the NCAA last season in both POINTS and YARDS per game. In year 2 while still playing with a huge deficit in scholarship players last season. CJH should have been SEC and NCAA coach of the year last season. For our fans to be calling for his job or talking trash about him is as irrational as a 13yo girl on a bad hair day. Nobody could have taken this program from the dumpster fire it was to a better record or current state of the program than CJH. Nobody. Not even Saban because he doesnt have the offensive scheme to put up points like our coach does.

Did I mention that we were also under NCAA investigation and expecting penalties the whole time? Yeah that too...yet we landed a top10 recruiting class last season including the no1 QB and player in HS football....THEN landed commits for this years recruiting class that is even better. Wow. This class we have coming in for next season is hands down the best class since Fulmer was coach here. Currently ranked no6 class which has the highest rated WR in Matthews to ever sign at UT as a 5* and 16 or 17 guys at 4* out of the 21 kids signed so far. An absolutely LOADED class. Go check out their videos and stats in the recruiting forum if you need some excitement in your life. The future at UT is so bright we will all have to wear shades.

We are gonna lose 3 or 4 games this season guys. We put an outstanding QB and our 2 best WR in the NFL this year. Along with probably our 2 best offensive linemen. That hurts a team especially when Joe throws 2 picks like he did tonight. We should be able to handle the good years like this season as well as the GREAT seasons like last season without pitching a fit. I do think we need to get rid of Martinez as DB coach though. They dont seem to be improving much despite us bringing in 7 highly rated DBs in the offseason. Anyway...JMO. GO VOLS. Great to get another win tonight.

Edit: this post wasnt directed at anyone in particular or intended to upset anyone especially here in the PF. My issue is mainly with the guys in the FF that lose their minds every time the slightest thing goes wrong and call for the backup QB and coaches to be fired immediately. Nothing but love here for my brothers in the PF. Except LG because hes a gator

Fun game. Crowd was pretty good. Definitely not one of the top but maybe top 5ish for me.

And really that was a pretty dominating game. If it wasnt for that one freebie run their production would have been atrocious. And their first TD was off a short field from an INT. Took a while for the pressure to work, but give it to banks he made some adjustment that worked.

Run game down right dominated at points. Play calling seemed better but definitely not as efficient as last year.

Go Vols.

Well I changed out the magnetron in the microwave and I didn’t die. I think I’ll call it a day after that. My Fluke 175 did its duty in making sure the 4kV high voltage circuit was discharged. The transformer secondary should discharge the cap anyway but if there is a fault and the cap is open circuit it can retain very high and dangerous voltages.
