We are in the Methodist church parking lot at the corner of cumberland and popular. View attachment 584946
Some vehicles work in red and a lot don't ... apparently that's none for you. The best red I can recall seeing is the one Mazda is doing on some cars now. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I personally loath white cars, but that's apparently the most popular color, and my SHO was black - that's a PITA to keep clean and not streaky. I like something like British racing green in a metallic, some deep blue colors, some darker grays are nice; but I don't like most lighter colors or silver, and certainly not that washed out green Ford is using for some Mavericks. No earth tones either.
Welp....LSU is getting their azzes beat by unranked Missouri 22-7 early. After getting 50 points hung on them and beat by OM last week and losing to FSU. Bout to be 3-3 on the season.
Luckily they were brilliant and signed their unproven yankee weirdo coach Kelly to a 10 year, $100 million contract in 2021.
WITH a BUYOUT of 90% of any remaining money on the contract at ANY point in time unless LSU can prove its for cause.
So LSU would have to pay at least 72million with 8 years left...at least 63 million with 7 years left etc. Unbelievable.
What is Brian Kelly's buyout at LSU? CFB head coach's contract structure explored
Brian Kelly's LSU Tigers continued their upward trajectory after defeating the Arkansas Razorbacks 34-31 in Week 4 and earning "The Boot" trophy in the process.www.sportskeeda.com
Four bolts, yep, but you’ve gotta remember to disconnect the fuel line.A brave man. Weezer might show up naked. Jk. If I make a game this year might stop by for a Go VOLS myself. You would know me from Adam anyway, so if you kick me out I will say I'm one of the weird liberals. Jk haha
I agree with all of this. Also, I absolutely flog this manual Civic on a daily basis as you know. Just replaced pads, 2 front rotors, a caliper from the junkyard, and changed my oil. Wed night after work, with help from a buddy i made take a $50 spot for helping me. Cars do not have to be expensive to be fun. Anyone whose ever driven a VW bug with over 100hp can attest to that. My Dad built dozens of bugs and buses over his life. I learned to drive on a 65bug with a sunroof and a bus engine that was a screamer. Would love to have it right now. I have a pic of my Dad and I doing an engine swap in 1 circa 1992 when I was 15yo...by taking 4 bolts out and dropping the 4banger, then we just picked the back of the car up and over the engine and brought the other 1 over. Lol. Great times.
Edit: this one we swapped was a 1953 green named "Charlie." You can tell them by the split rear window. The 1965 bug I learned to drive on in 1992 was "Lil Red" with black interior and mag wheels. It was badazz and quick with the bigger air cooled bus engine in it. Screamer. That was in SLC Utah with my Dad. He was stationed at Hill AFB. They had squadrons of F16s there and F15s were common to see as well. Both amazing, amazing aircraft to this day.
As someone who has always worked construction and never had a climate controlled environment except for side work, October is actually my favorite month of the year. Not too hot or cold, and usually pretty dry unless a hurricane passes close by bringing heavy rains.
From a football perspective it is always a great but stressful month with Bama and the meat of our SEC season happening in October. This month makes or breaks seasons most every year. Not this year though, at least to realists. Our upcoming aTm, bama, jawja gauntlet is not expected to be as successful as last year. I will be content if we win 1 of the 3, and ecstatic if we win 2. I think we run the table afterwards, though @ kentucky will be a real test. Their defense is quite good this year and manhandled flarduh. Just winning 1 of those 3 games will likely have us finish 9-3 which is great for a "bridge year". Even 8-4 will be OK because it will not affect recruiting IMO.
GO VOLS!!! and lol at Miami...whose refusal to take a knee cost them the game. Whats crazy is Cristobal made the SAME mistake before at oregon and lost to stanford bc he called a running play and fumbled rather than taking a knee back then. This clown actually made that unforgivable mistake TWICE and lost BOTH games after being up 3 points and only needing the knee to win!!!
I am sure EL is appreciativeI did my good deed for the day ... talked a cat out from under the house. The previous weekend I had gone to SC after the AC problem, and the wife was all spun up about anything she could think of - including the door to the crawl space. The history on that is it rotted around the frame a few years ago and animals thought it was a neat place to hang out before I saw the problem. I realized that first when I had to let a rabbit out. Every time I had it closed up good, somebody wanted out. I was sitting here at the computer about a year ago and heard a lot of commotion just below me and had to go open up the door in the middle of the night for something. Once I opened the door and caught a possum strolling by the flashlight beam.
So the wife called her brother to come fix the door permanently. I said fixing the door wasn't the issue - making sure everybody was out was the issue and quit arguing. A couple of nights late she said one of the cats kept running at the mouth - that's the other problem - with hearing loss I can't hear the problems she comes up with. The second night when it happened I went around checking, and the usual suspect was upstairs on the bed asleep, and that's when it clicked that there might be a cat trapped under the house. The next day I remembered a trap I used to catch squirrels in the attic, put a can of cat food in it, and set it in the crawlspace. Nothing for a day or two; then today the trap was sprung but empty and the can of food partially eaten. Shined the flashlight around and spotted the cat. I really hate crawling around down there - it used to be easier. So kept talking to the cat and showed her the can of food, and she finally came out - even petted her a little and finally got her far enough away from the door to close it.
I'm hoping there's nothing else down there since it seemed peaceful after a week of being closed up ... and no dead bodies laying around.
Funny I actually like cats more as I get older. I thought they are not needy and heck they can eat a dead varmint and you still don’t have to take them to the vet.Cats broaden your horizon. Dogs generally want to please; cats are like women - a challenge to deal with. Some of us are probably just masochists and can't accept it's easier to have a dog than a cat or a wife.
