If it were up to me we'd be cutting both, about 1/2 the sqft and about all of the "that would nice to haves". But since I have little say in it I'll just work on some of the amenities.

Not upsizing but about the same sqft. The plan was to downsize but when we started looking at house plans they grew.

Me: I'll go stay in the barn

Saw that, it's not good. There is also a warning for imminent failure of the Lake Lure damn in NC, that's a pretty decent sized lake.

You all stay safe, just had a 100+ foot oak fall on my boat. Still crazy wind here in north Knoxville.

Anyone know if homeowners covers that ? Just took the insurance off 2 weeks ago.

Apparently the flow of the Pigeon River has also eroded sections of I40 running along it and they’ve fallen into the river also. Due to the dam failure.

A dam near Newport failed but that's not what washed out I-40

I-26 and I-40 shut down. Part of I-40 is now in the pigeon river.

Yeah, flooded the town. I have no idea how big of a reservoir it held.
