Apparently the flow of the Pigeon River has also eroded sections of I40 running along it and they’ve fallen into the river also. Due to the dam failure.

A pic in the zone thread shows that. Assuming the dam just broke, the eroded road was before the dam failing.

A dam near Newport failed but that's not what washed out I-40

Apparently a dam has failed on the N.C. state line. Newport and Hartford are under water.

I-26 and I-40 shut down. Part of I-40 is now in the pigeon river.

It was just a 21' starcraft with a 150 mercury tower of power on the back. I believe the engine survived. Sitting on a nice galvanized trailer which may also have escaped unharmed, boat is trashed. Will take pictures shortly.

I think it is around 160' high by 500' feet across, you can't really see it from any road.
