Does back to the drawing board mean cutting out some ft² and/or amenities?

If it were up to me we'd be cutting both, about 1/2 the sqft and about all of the "that would nice to haves". But since I have little say in it I'll just work on some of the amenities.

We are hoping to downsize in a few years. Sounds like yall are upsizing?

Not upsizing but about the same sqft. The plan was to downsize but when we started looking at house plans they grew.

Me: Why do we need 4 bedrooms it's just me and you
Her: What if all of your family comes to visit?
Me: They won't but if they do, some can stay in a hotel
Her: What if all of mine comes
Me: I'll go stay in the barn

As an example of how our negotiations went.

Apparently the flow of the Pigeon River has also eroded sections of I40 running along it and they’ve fallen into the river also. Due to the dam failure.
A pic in the zone thread shows that. Assuming the dam just broke, the eroded road was before the dam failing.

Are you sure the dam failed?
