Official Jon Gruden Thread 33

WNML discussed candidates.

Dan Mullen, Rex Ryan, Jeff Fisher, but they are referring to the Pete Thamel article and thinking that's in our wheelhouse.

They did finally mention Gruden but in the context that he's telling Tennessee no and who to call after it.

Wasn't it WNML(Hyams) that claimed "Kiffin would never be the coach here" the same day that Kiffin was announced as the coach here?

Time to put this to rest. Gruden is not coaching again, especially not in college. He has been out of coaching a long long time now. He is 53, has a super gig on MNF and with all his endorsements from that job, paid more than most coaches. Doesn't have to jet around the country trying to convince high school kids to sign up 24/7 in their living rooms or deal with alumni/boosters etc.. He has landed in the perfect no pressure no lose situation and his lifestyle is stress free. He isn't coaching college ball folks. Move on.

Gee, thank s much for clearing that up. Blue font capital

I don't think it was either. I honestly think they were avoiding I-75 S. Just came down I-65 into Nash and went East. There had been huge delays on I-75 S in Campbell Co because of bridge work on Jellico Mountain. Multi-hour 10+ mile stoppages and there's not easy alternate route in the area.

I think this is exactly the truth. They were seen right before or around knoxville rush hour too. Makes sense that they would stop for the night and leave before morning rush hour through Knoxville

Is that really the best you can come up with? If you are going to come in here to try and rain on our parade I suggest you bring something a little more original besides the same **** that we have seen a million times. Now reach up with that little mouse of yours and hit the page back button on your screen and come back with something different or if you cant then move on and GTFO.

While I shouldn't even bother replying to you.....have you ever listened to anything the guy says? He is constantly coaching at every level of football. He goes to high schools around the country regularly. He goes to colleges and NFL camps. He loves to work and loves to coach. He loves being around football. It's all he talks about. You people act like he shows up at MNF 30 minutes before kick-off and does nothing else at all the rest of the week.

The most economical route is neither of those. The trucks didn't even have to stop, if in fact they are team-driven (and most likely are). You're too quick to blame "traffic" and dismiss logic.

If what Currie told Martinez is true....
That he would would definitely have a coaching staff in place by DEC 20th then I do not see how it could be a sitting HC now...Looks like it would take to long to work out all the details and everything right after the season..And that coach would not be coaching in a bowl game...JMO

GRUDON...

Posted from TOS, this person just talked to his bucs insider:

Guy played OL and is still very much involved in the team. Was at the legend's signing session yesterday. Very involved guy.

He has not heard word 1 about Gruden and the Bucs. And I have not heard anything around here (Tampa) as well. Not sure where some of you are getting Gruden to the Bucs.
