When we first got word that Dooley was hired I was disappointed... felt like we needed a name coach to do anything with the mess left behind by "What's his name". I even associated his hiring with being like when Dickey hired "Bill Battle".

After the sting wore off and knowing Dooley was my coach and there was nothing I could do about it I argues for him that he should be given a "Fair Chance" to see what he could do.

Now, after seeing the product he has put on the field... I am OVER HIM.... I want the guy I wanted when we hired him... BRING ON KING GRUDEN

Hypothetical question here. Sorry smokey you won't like this one. But lets say we do get Gruden and he doesn't succeed here as most expect he would. Would it have been worth it?

My answer to that is yes. I believe he will no doubt bring in some top talent due to his name alone. Fans will be behind him for at least 2-3 years with the belief he will eventually get it done once the recruiting catches up to other big programs. This will bring in the money through ticket sales and merchandise, etc, which will leave us in a much more enviable position should a new coach be needed.

To redeem myself, if we get Gruden, I think he succeeds. He is just too grude not to.

Posts from 1am till 5 am are pure comic relief imo.

I'm still sticking with after the SC game. Wouldn't completely rule out something sooner if "meetings" do not go well. Last night was Dooleys Hail Mary and he didn't complete it.

That was his only Hail Mary because we know he throw any with 17 seconds left in the first half.

Sir,don't apologize for asking a logical question b/c I appreciate those..My short answer would be there is always that chance when you hire a coach with zero college HC experience, but it's a chance that I'm willing to take as is most in this thread..And the rest of your post is spot on..I wanted Gruden when we hired Dooley, and I was quite underwhelmed with the hire but was willing to give him a fair shake..That fair shake ended after the Akron game b/c there is no way that game should have been tied at halftime.

From what. I am hearing it will be after the SC game unless they are feed up enough then it would be Monday as in this Monday

Can not read it, I am not an insider, but if Hart is saying Dooley is his coach and he is supporting him.... I say this is the Big Orange County

How can anyone still support Dooley. We are not getting any better. He better be fired by tomorrow morning.

still dont know why they want to wait. Who cares if we happened to beat south carolina. Body of work on this team is awful

One thing is for sure after seeing Dooley at his press conference last night if he hasn't been told then he figured it out on his own

Did anyone else feel when he was hobbling across the field to shake Saban's hand that he truly was "a dead man walking." His body language looked like a man that knows he is finished. I felt bad for the guy but know he is just in over his head here.

I used that same term on here last night "dead man walking" is the only way to describe it.

I agree, Dooley may be one of our nicest and smartest head coaches here in a long time but that doesn't get you wins in the SEC. I think he would do much better in another conference.

I think CDD will end up being a very good coach in college. His problem is that he hasn't learned HOW to win. He needs to go be a coordinator some place, then get a HC job again at a mid tier school, and learn.
