There was a timeline into November to finalize the deal, make arrangements with ESPN, and take the NCAA test.

Now, I hear from others there is a snag, or even a declination of the deal. This could he real, or just negotiations. It could also be a smokescreen to keep the media at bay.....they seem to be getting traction over the last two days with this story. Ainge has hinted about what's going on for two days.....John Adams posted a story naming Gruden as a possibility.

It's quiet today....nobody is saying much.....I don't really know where it stands at this moment.

I could see an agreement made in principal and measures taken to place a bit of misinformation out to keep things calm until it's official.

We'll just have to wait and see.

I'm not at all worried. I am being truthful with what I have been told. No need to thank me. Don't get me wrong, it's appreciated, but that's not my intentions for sharing what I can that has been shared with me. Honesty is important to me, and will not abide any inference to the contrary.

Folks you can't work out a 5+ million dollar deal with a phone call and notes on the back of a napkin. This kind of thing takes time of course with give and take both ways. Only in this case, if it is true that Gruden is interested, he holds the cards. Even if UT wants him they are not going to fork over that kind of money without serious, lengthy deliberations.

It has to be a smokescreen. For months now, we have talked about Gruden being interested, and when offers are being secretly made, interest has been confirmed, and people start catching on to what is going on...we have someone say he declined out of no where...Have to say it is a little fishy. Especially with the fact that the boosters are willing to pay big money, he loves UT, he and his family currently live right outside of Knoxville, we have the recruiting budget he wants, talent on the roster, and would have an army of Orange buying tickets to see him coach our guys.
