I understand what you are saying...I'm not sure I agree that he has already been fired...I just think you are over-thinking it. It is a possibility he has been notified that he will not coach and that one of the conditions is that he follow the rules in order to procure his buyout in full. I agree with you that Dooley deserves respect regardless. I have no desire to rip the guy but it is not hard to fathom that he has been notified privately and been given conditions in order to get his money...one such condition being his silence.

He obviously has not been fired because he is still coaching.

But, there is a big difference between that and being told that you won't be retained beyond this season. What the latter means is that he will either be fired or resign at the end of the season.

Which were both given as possibilities from the beginning. I am honestly pretty impressed with how this is all being handled. I am sure our favorite MNF announcer is as well.

The issue isn't the commits it would be the lack of offers going out - come on man this is getting old.

The issue is the commits it would be the lack of offers - come on man this is getting old.

Any new offers is minimal at this point in the process anyway. In fact offers now are more about missing on your initial targets.
