He knows more than just Fulmers staff. He stays in contact with Fulmer and you think Fulmer is unaware of this situation? What's to say he hasn't "donated" some funds to this coaching search?

Look, I am not knocking him. Just stating what I know. I was around a long time on VQ. I started with Brent even before Rivals.

Being defensive over facts proves irrational thinking and behavior. Step back and be objective for a second.

I'm not being defensive. You're a troll. You
proved that when you got your words twisted up the other day. You came in here and said Gruden wasn't happening and then you say you never said he was off the table.

Was just speaking with one of my main "sources". Yeah, yeah, I know.

Well, I confess to him that I joined the boards a month ago. After he made sure I wasn't dropping his name, he laughed a little bit and told me that he is close to one of you guys and told me your board name. Pretty funny that some of our info is coming from the same guy. That explains some of the same information floating out there. (side note- my guy is going to contact you soon to let you know who I am - we have met before. Pretty funny stuff).

To the rest of you, I know most of you don't know me, but to the ones that do, I will try to alleviate any concern you have.

We have got our man. When you hear radio personalities saying otherwise, don't be concerned (not sure what they are thinking, they are going to look silly). When you hear (false) rumors about JG being on campus, those simply aren't true either. However, don't let those false rumors take away from the fact that THIS THING IS GOING TO HAPPEN.

I know I don't know most of you, but the reason I joined here a whole back was to be a part of this process with some REAL vol fans. You guys are exactly that, and I would like to meet some of you. What do you say we plan a little party after all of this gets finalized? I am dead serious.

If you think I am some "troll" so be it. But if you want to drink some victory beers, on me, let's chat soon. I have enjoyed my interaction with most of you and I appreciate those who have interacted with me.

I just want you guys to know that we are in good hands. For once, the administration has stepped up. This is really unbelievable. If I sound like a giddy child, that's because that's what I feel like.

Look forward to the JG celebration party after this all gets announced. I don't know when that will be ( and most others don't either), but when it does I will check back on here. Also, looking forward to hearing from one of you soon. Until then, it's been real. The darkest days are over. It's always the darkest before the dawn.
You are not Larry.
You are wrong.

You said there was. No One more connected which is Bull Sh**. You did not say on this board. You did not say in Knoxville. You said No one which is.....

Does your dad know you are on his 27 inch Mac?

Dude you are a joke.

I don't usually refer to men as DUDE but ok. We can start there. I am open to simple discussion on the matter. What is mind boggling, and simply perplexing is the defensive nature of the board. The simple "mood swings" that entail is someone comes here and makes them feel like this isn't going to happen. I just said listen to what Larry has to say.

Thanks Doc.

Its my stance that the job must be posted before being filled but I won't argue that too harshly but I will argue that a MOU signed before the job is open is worthless.

How do you know that Hart hasn't already informed Dooley that his services will end on 11/26?

Extrememly arrogant IMO.

Thanks Doc.

Which would be irrelevant because you don't know the status of the job.

If he hires Golden or takes the cheap way out and hires someone like Smart then Dave Hart will go down as one of the worst ADs of all time. Mattresses will be burned if it's Kirby smart. He will be responsible for killing off UT football.

No because any lawyer worth his salt could argue circumstances changed from the time the MOU was signed and the job legally opened up.

The MOU is not a legally binding document. Neither party has the right to enforce any of the terms. It is more akin to an outline of terms to be included in a formal contract.

I am not saying he is getting paid because I am not the one reporting that anyone has signed an MOU. All I can tell you is that an MOU is a legally binding contract. In fact, it is MORE than a verbal agreement, which can be enforceable in certain situations. So, there are legal ramifications if you back out of an MOU. Those ramifications may also be outlined in the MOU. There is not telling how long a formal contract is between a coach and a school- tons of clauses and issues. That takes time to draft, and parties don't have that time to agree and start work. Thus, an MOU is signed and again, it is LEGALLY binding.

I think we have different concepts of legally binding...

Unless you are arguing that a party has never unilaterally walked away from an agreement after an MOU has been signed, then it's not relevant to the point I was making.

If you are arguing that, you're wrong.

That being the case, I think what I said was correct, because I qualified it to take into account situations where the parties include more rigid guidelines for performance and termination.

I'm sure things have changed, but not to the extent that he is out of the know, or his "grey hair" is causing mixed dementia. It's just interesting what he has to say, because it carries weight.

It seems to me people well connected to university will try and detract the public as to what is really going on. The university does not want the public to know just yet. Kinda like Dooley saying he doesn't know what is going to happen dont take people at their word especially if they are really connected to the university. Even pay sites are more guarded than VN because they do not want to lose their connection wirh the AD etc jmo
