If it was up to me. Bring back Fulmer with a Allstar crew. Limit his ability on sidelines. Be a head figure for the state to be proud again.

I don't think he is needling however. I think that is his honest assesmnet of Jon Gruden as a coach. :hi:

Everyone should cool it on the local media. Why, just the other day Doc (Mickey D) said if Saban had been our coach this year, we would end up 6-6. That is just one example of how intelligent the Hubbs/Hyams/Ruckers are....p.s. He really said that

I think Gruden is a great coach and would be a very good to great recruiter. The question I want answered is this. Why would he want to? He is a coach who wants full control. He will hate the 20 hr practice rule. He doesn't have to put up with any if that in the NFL.

Both are unproven as a college head coach, Yes.

There is ALOT of risk in paying an unproven college HC 5 million plus type money. If Kirby Smart was given 4+ million dollars to build a staff, I wonder what he could do?

I posted this Wednesday in the middle of another posts. I got a call from a friend who had contact with one of the the guys that is trying to get Gruden. Basically, UT had met his demands on eight years and it was for 55 million. It was all in grudes lap to.take or not. The big concern was not control at that time. It was the NFL and the Eagles. After seeing Gruden's giddy comments today about their talent, it has me concerned. Could.be reading too much into it. But, it will not be UT at fault if he does not come. They did everything he wanted. It is his choice now on what he wants to do.

On a side note my 1 year old female blue tick just treed her first raccoon. It was complete accident. It came through back yard and she went after it.

Alright. Season over. Now the test begins.

I have to think that if Gruden really is a done deal that he will be announced tomorrow or Monday simply to get him out on the recruiting trail ASAP. I believe 100% that he can quit MNF any time he wishes. Contracts mean nothing, recruiting means everything.

If he is not announced by Monday then I have to fall into the camp that no deal has ever been "done" with Gruden officially, unofficially or otherwise and that there is an honest-to-God coaching search happening and UT has no clue who they will be hiring.

Just my opinion, but that's where I'm gonna stand. Hoping for a Gruden announcement VERY soon.

Why shouldn't he want full control. If I were a head coach I wouldn't want the AD telling me who I could or could not hire. You think Saban has full control. Damn right he does.

Says who? If smart were given the 4 million dollars, who knows what kind of staff he could assemble. I think the talk was about Zook or Morris at 1.5 million bucks. Would Chavis return for 1.25 million to work with Smart? Who knows.

I am not an insider. This was a one time info from.a.guy who is good friends with a guy who has contact with the player who is involved in this.
