If Hart hires Charlie Strong, Dan Mullen, or Kirby Smart after the move was made for th UTAD to keep $18 million, then they better rip out 30,000 seats from Neyland Stadium, because they will be empty each week.

Not so much with Strong IMO. How do we know this money wasn't meant for things other than a coach?

Am I the only one that wonders how fans would have better info than Hubbs? Why would he risk his credibility by making up crap?

Yes, I wondered that too. That being said, if DTO's comments are correct about Hubbs (that basically he only puts out there what the AD wants him to) then he loses a few members now but gains them back and many more when for recruiting news he gets the inside track.

I am afraid we are making to much of a deal about the 18mil. Hart has been very vocal about Bama having nearly 100 mil in reserves and we only have 2. I am starting the think the 18mil was one of the first steps to rebuilding and no one of the last

Because the AD doesn't want him to leak it yet. He's too powerful and has too many followers. Did you notice how quickly the "Dooley fired" story spread like wildfire in the twitter world and in the media after VQ wrote that article?

As soon as Hubbs says, "Guys, looks like Hart worked it out. Gruden seems to be in play." It will hit the media faster than you can imagine. And if the Gruden to UT is real and is happening, as many believe it is, Hubbs will suddenly change his tune shortly before. Bank on that.

Off topic, but I'm all for the mods passing out 24-48 hour vacations for those too dense to understand the Cliff Notes are not for discussion.

Yea i think so too, I think the money was more of a sign of confidence then a "loan" to get Gruden, now I look at it as objectively as I can.

Tis correct.

Gruden, a former NFL coach who's now an analyst on "Monday Night Football," met with Miami Athletic Director Kirby Hocutt in Tampa on Wednesday about replacing Randy Shannon, who Hocutt fired Saturday night.

The UM AD met with Gruden four days after firing Shannon.. I know realize by itself this means nothing but it does point to how fast these meetings can happen if there is interest by one or more parties.. Also, does that not definitively answer the question about 'posting' or was that already dealt with and I missed it? I have been in and out this evening...

I'm going with your optimism. I don't have a subscription to TOS, because I'm too stingy.

I was a member of his site almost from day one. I dropped it a couple of years ago. He never breaks any story until the athletic dept wants it out. He's not risking his rep and has not said Gruden is definitely out. All the details will never be made public regardless of whether Gruden is hired or not IMO.

On a lighter note, just did a little recon on USC message boards... If anyone needs a smile, go take a look... Threat level midnight

All Hubbs has to do is come out after the announcement and say that everyone was kept in the dark on this one and he was going on the information that he was fed by his sources...
