There is no way anyone close to the sport of Football (college or pro), doesn't understand the level of institutional control required to stay out of trouble these days. There is also no way after the Sandusky incident that anyone would even dream that the Trustees, Chancellor, Athletic Director, etc. could delegate that authority to an individual coach in any sport. Heck, there's no way anyone wouldn't know that after the Tressel and Pearl incidents. I can certainly believe that someone who hasn't worked in the college game in 20+ years, would be extremely worried about the NCAA compliance rules. But it is not even in the realm of my immagination that, that worry would extend into any negotiations other than ensuring I had the budget to have the right compliance coverage to ensure I stayed out of trouble, jail, etc. This whole story line has no plausible legs. If you believe institutional control is a negotiating point as it has been described, I have some swamp land in Georgia, I'll sell you.

If she wanted to live in Knoxville, why didn't she move here anytime in the last 4 years? She has no reason to stay in Tampa if Knoxville where she really wants to be.

Real Estate market sucks in Florida. Hard to sell a home and get anywhere close to what you paid for it. This could be 1 reason.

Question is can Fedora or other small name recruit on a national level that we have to have and can he take the program to national prominance?

Not initially. will take him 4-6 years to unscramble the UT mess... maybe win 7 games in year 3

VolRumormill on twitter (no idea if legit): "Was just told that KPD and UTPD officials are meeting with AD members about security for coming press conference/coach."

IMO...a little bit of the difficulty lies in the fact that the NCAA is still examining us with a microscope. Dave Hart was brought into to right a ship that had been hurt primarily by its football and basketball programs, as far as probation goes. And Hart wants to make sure everything done is in his power, not saying this doesn't get done, but that is a sensitive issue for Hart and a very sensitive one at the current state of the program...

hart more and more seems to be a pompous, egotistical, know it all in the same frame as dooley was. He will do what he wants just to prove he can regardless of the effect on the program. I sometimes don't think he gives a damn about UT, just want to push his power and ego.

What Skeeter is saying is not what I have heard.

I heard from someone I am learning to trust on here actually, stated that the control or money aren't the issues. It's due diligence and personal/work related.

IMO, if this gets stretched out into December...then I'm going to wonder if his integrity towards MNF is in fact causing these bumps.

I know you can't get specific - do you mean loyalty to his current role?
