OV - care to share? Even speculate?

Here's why I ask: my information came abruptly from two places at the same time Thursday night. And when I asked what happened I got nothing...and then yesterday got some veiled references to Hart perhaps being...unhelpful lets say.

If Hart was "unhelpful" how long can he survive as AD at Tennessee? Surely the $$$$ donors would have him removed rather quickly I would think!

Could not agree more. I wish I knew exactly what was going on. I have not gotten anything on Gruden since yesterday and that was a statement of "it ain't over yet". Outside of that I had a discussion about Fulmer. If the intent was to shut the chatter down they we successful..

I don't have any inside info, but I think I know what is happening. It explains all the unexplainables.

We all know CJG is a super competitive guy. There is a good chance he watched the SEC Championship game. He as an opportunity to coach in SEC with almost limitless resources. It's been placed on a silver platter for him. It's just baffling.

I see what your saying, but we got to let him do what he gets paid to do and after we have done that I believe he will make the right decision. One thing people are wrong about is Hart isn't a dumbass. Is he stubborn, Yes. Does he have a ego, yes. Will he make the right decision??? We will have to wait and see, but I believe so. If then and only then will he be forced to go with what the $$$ says.

I guess I would be more willing to go with it, excep I still believe Blackburn should have got the job.

Well, from the outside it looks more like "The Hart Who Stole Our Head Coach." It's a sad book about an AD with a brain three sizes too small. Hopefully this one has a happy ending like the original. We just need a Cindy Gru Who to change his ways.

I hear you. I posted sometime back my greatest worry is what happens to the fans if this is not handled correctly. It is easy to say we have to come together to support the new coach but the reality is it will be hard if it is not one of a few people. For instance, I just don't care for Fisher, strong, Golden, or Jones.

not at all. VFL. it is a fact that any AD who couldn't close the deal on JG to Tenn should lose their job

as I said earlier, I will gladly eat crow if either it turns out that JG did not want to be our HC or if he does become our HC but at this point there is no reason to believe that

Exactly! Because he hasn't called each one of us individually or held a press conference to tell us what's going on he should be fired. SMH! He has a job to do and we need to let him do it. People want to crucify him for the Gruden thing, but we don't know anything for a fact. We have multiple people with "sources" and act is if they are giving us the truth. Relax folks, I want a coach ASAP too, but let Hart do his job. FSU is playing a game now, Louisville played last night, and other coaching options are either play or just finished playing yesterday or earlier today.

My top 3 beyond Gruden were Patterson, Peterson, and Gundy and these guys don't even appear to be in the discussion right now.

I will NOT buy tix next year if it is Golden though.

Truth be told you are part of what ratcheted up the expectations. I don't think it's fair of you to mock someone now fie sounding "ridiculous". Of course Gruden isn't the only coach that can win here but he was the surest thing for recruiting, which of course is the life blood - we already have a lot of ground to make up

That's exactly what I heard. I just feel like all this is a story to buy time for you know who. Maybe for an ESPN contract to work out? I don't know...

Yeah, or someone else being hired. Even the AD insiders who have never put much stock in the Gruden to UT talk (skeeter & LWS) have said things in the last day or two like "things could change" or "if Gruden backs off his demands talks could be back on" or Hart "is not going to wait around on Gruden to decide into Jan." etc. The story from the AD side (true or not) is that Gruden simply hasn't said yes or is being unreasonable with certain demands, not that Hart doesn't want him. If that is in fact true, I don't think that money is going anywhere until someone else is hired.
