Wrong.. Do ur homework.. For a team that has been as down as UT, he did a very good job at recruiting.. Too bad it's the only thing he did a good job of.. He was out recruiting teams that have had twice the recent success, and that's what is really important to recruits.

The article in the TFP polled head coaches all over this area and they gave him an F in comparison with the others.

We all know CJG is a super competitive guy. There is a good chance he watched the SEC Championship game. He as an opportunity to coach in SEC with almost limitless resources. It's been placed on a silver platter for him. It's just baffling.
i

Maybe that will give him a reason in his acceptance speech of why he changed his mind.....

That's exactly what I heard. I just feel like all this is a story to buy time for you know who. Maybe for an ESPN contract to work out? I don't know...
This has been a lot of fun though. I feel like a detective trying to figure this out.

It's like we're all digging through the clues trying to solve the great mystery. :good!:

Wait, whut? :ermm:

That's either interesting, concerning, confusing or infuriating, depending upon one's view of the last several seasons of his tenure I suppose.

I post this in the Fulmer forum earlier today.

Interesting topic. I will put this out there and you can flame away. I am not going to take sides only telling you what I know. Some of high power boosters in the Cleveland/Chatt area want him back. They believe the time away has taught him and reignited the fire in him. He has not moved on to other jobs due to the thought after the UK game last year we may be in this position. Now 2 facts I am not going to wavier on.

1. He and Hart had dinner not long ago
2. His hat is in the ring

I can not say this as fact but my understanding is Chief would return with him.

I will discuss pros and cons but I am not going to have a childish name calling contest because people use him as a punching bag.

If Hart was "unhelpful" how long can he survive as AD at Tennessee? Surely the $$$$ donors would have him removed rather quickly I would think!

Moore did this same stuff at Bama, Saban got hired anyways, and he's still there... anyone know the full Bama story?

I will....now I fell more like I fit in....

So do you think that we might still get JG, especially since the money has not been returned? That's the way I am taking it.....jmo

I honestly don't know what to think.
I don't think I'm being trolled by the 2 boosters I know. They were both so confident about Friday.

Idk anything about that. My post is true though.. He had no business out recruiting some of the teams he did the last three years.

I have heard a few times that he seems stuck up.

Here is another little thing I picked up. Dabo Sweeny may get an interview. He played at Bama and Hart knows him. Just saying...

Yeah, or someone else being hired. Even the AD insiders who have never put much stock in the Gruden to UT talk (skeeter & LWS) have said things in the last day or two like "things could change" or "if Gruden backs off his demands talks could be back on" or Hart "is not going to wait around on Gruden to decide into Jan." etc. The story from the AD side (true or not) is that Gruden simply hasn't said yes or is being unreasonable with certain demands, not that Hart doesn't want him. If that is in fact true, I don't think that money is going anywhere until someone else is hired.

Also possible.
