Unfortunately for Tennessee, it appears we've missed out on the only guy really worth a damn.

Stoops is beyond a pipe dream.

Strong has the SEC ties and Florida connection in recruiting but has accumulated one good season as a head coach.

Fedora, do we really want a guy jumping ship after one year in a BCS conference?

Mora Jr, see above.

Fisher is underachieving vastly, pulling those kind of classes he's been pulling in and not absolutely dominating that conference is telling.

Butch Davis, he's 61 and a dark cloud over his head.

Gundy isn't leaving his alma mater and for UT that's a good thing, gotta play defense to win in this league.

In the end, the UTAD did its self a disservice by not heading these Gruden rumors off before they really took flight.

They are now backed in to a corner. With Gruden seemingly off the table, they have left themselves a pretty crappy list of second tier coaches to pick from, none of which the fan base will be excited about.

Not sure who the coach will be. Also not going to pick from that litter of runts and try to fain excitement.

I can't get hyped over strong and the whole big east thing. Fedora I wouldn't even know who he was if it wasn't for our coaching search. All he did was beat the now fired ncstate coach after unc lost to them, what 7 times in a row?

Like I said, I may be a chitty coach picker, but I say blah on both accounts.

UT is going to release a documentary of the coaching search (all footage involving Gruden removed) in order to drum up some $$$ to make up for the sterling season ticket and merch sales next season. It's really well produced with a clever title:

no chits and giggles here my friend,been a truevol fan for 46 yrs now and will be until they lay my cold body in the ground. sounds like other ppl already know what im talking about. gotta go cause my phone just rang again. til tomorrow vol fatefuls.

We may get dooleyed again, we may end up with a coach none of us have heard of just out of nowhere.

Have heard that one before. Not saying your lying, but I am skeptical. I've seen a lot of "insiders" on here lately. Many of them, have never posted before, yet carry the power of the all knowing. We will see which one ye be.

That won't happen.

If so, then shut down the football program. If we have halted the donations to academics to free up a large some of money to hire Mike McIntyre or anyone in the same mold then lets just call a spade a spade and be resigned to the fact that the UTAD has given up on being relevant.

I honestly think our best bet is Fisher, out of the realistic candidates. He is a great recruiter, but suspect coaching, but maybe with a great staff he can do okay. I just see him as a Richt 2.0... he can get 9-10, even 11 wins a year, but he will lose the big games, and 1 or 2 games he has no business losing.

Yep. Thats so sad that we are trying to get excited over these weiners. Maybe there will be a complimentary prozac this year with each ticket purchase. You know...kinda like sonic with that tasty little mint in every bag.

UTAD has been running at about an 85% unsatisfactory level since dickey left, as far as I am concerned.
