Well grounds crew was there very late last night with grow lights on the grass...something coming soon with them staying late to get the field in good shape again.

"And speaking of Twitter, a bunch of our current players decided to follow VFL Tee Martin on Twitter recently. Being that Martin was spoken of behind the scenes in our Grumors, this very well could be significant. I doubt the team has been told as loose lips sink ships and all, but I have this feeling even the team members can see the way the winds are blowing."

Look for the small hints.
JG is coming.

Actually, Boro dropped a better hint/bread crumb this morning. A bunch of 18-22 year olds can get on a hype train by following the lead of a select few. Not much off a nugget there, but possibly a minor blip on the radar.

However, getting called into your job on a Sunday after a game day when most are in "recovery" mode? Way bigger deal. I can speak from experience and first hand knowledge that university departments put in serious hours on game days. Like 12 hours or more depending on kickoff time. And that includes departments not normally considered "game day ops." They can and will not get called in on Sundays unless another big event is going on or they are under a time crunch.

Trust me on this. Boro has one of the best tidbits for today if it pans out.

I’m way out in SW Misery (MO) these days but love and represent the Vols boldly. “Rocky” (tree ornament) looks at me daily from the yard.

I grew up in E Tennessee so orange runs deep to the bone. Those of you fortunate enough to still live near Rocky Top should never take it for granted. You are living on hallowed ground. Kiss it like the morning dew. My first journey from Chattown to Neyland was for a Billy Graham crusade. I think I was in third grade. Unforgettable.

Now I make the pilgrimage annually at least once each fall. It’s still glorious. (I think I lost some hearing during the OU game though...114db.). It’s usually the wifey and me. Sometimes taking a fellow displaced Midwest Vol friend or indoctrinating another. It’s always one of my favorite fall trips.

I’ll always be all Vol, and the best part of my next trip will be...GRUDEN THROUGH THE T!

So Hubbs is saying Currie likes Matt Campbell.
1.) You pay Butch 8 million
2.) Somehow cover a 9 million buyout on Campbell.
3.) Campbell may be a good coach eventually, but one year and he's a home run hire?
4.) I will personally camp outside of the ad office and burn mattresses until Currie is officially let go

So there's that.. Gruden to the MF hill!!!

Hubbs, after denying anything Gruden, was at the airport with Jon Reed.....:post-4-1090547912::post-4-1090547912:

I am all gruden but if it came down between Mullen and Campbell I’d take a shot at Campbell. At least he has beaten highly ranked teams lol

Too big of a risk. I mean literally does this not scream possibility of Butch Jones 2.0? This doesn't pay for $340 million in renovations.

Doug Matthews commenting that "Tennessee people" (former players and coaches) have been asked opinion but have not been involved in interviewing candidates. Basically, Doug is saying Currie hasn't fully tapped the resources at his disposal to assist in the process. I guess the insinuation is that the same booster(s) who decided the last few hires are directing this hire as well.

Butch never beat multiple ranked P5 programs. I want Gruden, but Campbell is a very good coach.

Butch gravy trained at Cincy. Campbell created his own success at ISU. Norvell situation is more like Butch. Campbell built his situation.

Already been posted if you look at his tweets, this statement is not about football

John Currie follows Lane Kiffin on twitter. I'm sure it's nothing, just seems odd. I didn't look through all of his followers but Kiffin was the only coach I saw

Didn't someone post a couple of weeks ago that Currie walked in a skybox of booster and said "I hear some of you have an idea of who should be hired?"...It was said, he immediately smiled and was in good spirits.......

Norvell is playing with a lot of his own players. He will get a good gig soon.
