I looked at Kiffin's followers and the top one was volnation followed by Kmac, Maggitt, Coleman Thomas, Chase Purdy(NASCAR) and Brett Kendrick. A further scroll reveals many more vols players and vols related accounts. I'm not saying that is substantial, or leads me to believe he may be coming back, he may have been following them for a while. Plus, being a former coach, it may not be too much of a stretch to think that he still has interest in the vols.

I'm not sure I'm following the field repairs nugget. They wouldn't announce at Neyland, would they? Never have. Also, wouldn't they be working to get the field ready to be put to bed for the winter? Painting the field is definitely odd though.

If it came down to Mullen, Campbell or Bing McGoogle, my plan would be to offer Mike Norvell a reasonable salary of about $3-3.5 mil and make him earn his raises.

We aren't getting Mullen for less than $5 mil a year or probably more. IS NOT WORTH THE MONEY TO GET HIM OUT OF STARKVILLE!

Campbell has serious buyout money problems. Is not proven as a HC in big boy football, but could be a contender in time. But he is NOT at the level of "home run" at this point.

Norvell shows serious promise and will go to a P5 school this round. There isn't a significant buyout that I'm aware of from Memphis and he's developing talent at a high level. And appears to be a good recruiter since he swayed Ferguson from Texas, a known traditional power, to Tiger High. Norvell is the "safe" hire that doesn't come with a huge price tag involved.

Regardless, I'm still on the Gruden train and can only hope Currie can back up that grin.

Didn't look too busy to me. Grow lights would go out regardless. That's not to say they weren't getting other stuff ready. Just don't jump the gun yet.

We finally got that eight loss monkey off our backs with the assistance of this coaching staff so a bad hire and there's literally no reason to watch or care about Tennessee football next year.
