The Haslams have run UT for years. They want to retain their power. Currie was their hire. Currie was just a pawn PIO for the Haslams. Currie will fall on the sword and the Haslams will continue on.
It's all about control and power. They want a yes man where they can effectively call the shots.
I thought MOU's were never binding, just basically used to get details of what would be signing if decide to sign official contract?
T-DAY
"Good evening. Over the last several hours Vols fans joined others from around the world. And we launched the largest Volnation retaliation in Vols History! Volnation. That word should have new meaning for all of us today. We cant be consumed by our petty differences anymore. We will be united in our common interests. Perhaps its fate that today came after an embarrassing loss to Vandy, and we were once fighting for our program Not from tyranny, oppression, or persecution but from annihilation. We are fighting for our right to live. To exist and to thrive again in the SEC East. And should we get a coach worthy of wearing the Power T. This day will be remembered. It was this day Vols fans every where declared, We will not go quietly into the night! We will not vanish without a fight! Were going to live on! Were going to survive! Today we celebrate T Day!
Can someone explain to me why the Haslams want us to be terrible? To have "yes men" in the AD rather than "right men for the job"? Serious question, my wife just asked me how it benefits them for them to have control but us be terrible, and I don't have a logical answer. Anyone?
What do you feel is the chance of Currie being fired in a few days?
No more updates. Sorry.
I feel extremely betrayed tonight. On a whole lot of levels. I'll still be here, post here, but as my favorite gif says, playtime's over.

OK, so this is a minor thing, I know, but quick spell check:
"rouge", pronounced "roozh", is the pink stuff that old ladies put on their cheeks. The modern term is blusher.
"rogue" is when someone goes off-leash, escaping his controllers.
I normally put aside my Spelling-Grammar Nazi side at times like these, but the thought of John Currie all pink with rouge is incredibly disconcerting. Thanks. :hi:
