I think it was pretty well reported that Haslam directed Currie's hiring. There is also known and documented history of Haslam wanting to hire Schiano to the Browns a few years ago. I think those facts probably shift the burden of persuasion. That said, the Haslam family has done a lot for UTK and I'm sure that their input is well intentioned and not, as has been suggested, a brutish exercise of raw power. What we need is an AD who can help Mr. Haslam and other people be better helpers. I'm trying to assume the best about some charitable people and hope I don't get blasted.Guys, we all have to wait and see what happens. We have to wait and see how UT and the AD responds. We have to stop throwing rocks and pointing fingers at the Haslams. The truth is... NO ONE ON HERE KNOWS THE TRUTH. People are grasping and looking for someone to blame, and since theyre one of the biggest boosters; people immediately look at them to blame. The same thing happened in 2012.
Dont believe anyone whos trying to blow smoke and tell you this was all about a shift in power. Thats outrageous! The exact same claims were stated many times in 2012. When people begin to worry and, moreso, worry about their credibility being questioned, theyll start trying to pass blame at anything they can.
Im as frustrated as anyone. Dont let people fool you. The fact is, were all emotionally invested and its easier in these times, than ever before, to be tricked into believing frauds. Hence confirmation bias and emotional reasoning.
Hey smart guy...why don't you quote where I professed that. It is certainly what I wanted, but I never predicted it. I learned my lesson with palace intrigue the last go-around.
And before you start jumping on people, why don't you explain what you bring to the table here. What exactly is your value other than ridiculing other posters?
But others think he would not have been a train wreck and we were lucky to get him, that the whole PSU deposition was just hearsay. Check Herbstreit's twitter...
Not my feelings but those I have seen from people that are not Vols fans are saying.
Im still catching up ... but in light of todays events WTH are you even here anymore? Shouldnt you be frolicking in the land of trolls with your boys MIT, DTO, ORANGEPILL, among many others.. done deal 99% yall obviously didnt know a damn thing that was going on appears AV was silent for a reason this go around.
Soon... whatever
Why Tee?
What has he accomplished?
He is simply a nostalgia hire!
I genuinely do not understand the fascination with him
No, you not recognizing what this thread happens to be is embarrassing.
This is an outlet for our frustrations. This is where information is passed on to get Volnation as a whole riled up to prevent a horrible child molesting enabler like Greg Sciano not hired. Instead of having three dozen different threads whining and crying about it, we put our thoughts here.
Kindly shut up and get out.
lol way to be guy, Im sure your wife loves you
I know you know something that makes you very confident in Gruden. Is there any more you can share? Is there a chance you misunderstood? Shiano was once the HC of Tampa Bay...
Ask the new powers that be at Alabama. This is what they did the Paul Bryant Jr. in 2006.
No let's hear it. You came with some smartass remark when someone metioned Fulmer. So lay it out there, who do you in your wisdom purpose? Simple question
Youre seriously getting enjoyment out of seeing fellow Vol fans miserable. YOU are part of the problem. I cant fathom why this is enjoyable to you. You have to cheer for the same team we do yet youre laughing at our failures? Makes so much sense
