Guys, we all have to wait and see what happens. We have to wait and see how UT and the AD responds. We have to stop throwing rocks and pointing fingers at the Haslam’s. The truth is... NO ONE ON HERE KNOWS THE TRUTH. People are grasping and looking for someone to blame, and since they’re one of the biggest boosters; people immediately look at them to blame. The same thing happened in 2012.

Don’t believe anyone who’s trying to blow smoke and tell you this was all about a shift in power. That’s outrageous! The exact same claims were stated many times in 2012. When people begin to worry and, moreso, worry about their credibility being questioned, they’ll start trying to pass blame at anything they can.

I’m as frustrated as anyone. Don’t let people fool you. The fact is, we’re all emotionally invested and it’s easier in these times, than ever before, to be tricked into believing frauds. Hence confirmation bias and emotional reasoning.

I think it was pretty well reported that Haslam directed Currie's hiring. There is also known and documented history of Haslam wanting to hire Schiano to the Browns a few years ago. I think those facts probably shift the burden of persuasion. That said, the Haslam family has done a lot for UTK and I'm sure that their input is well intentioned and not, as has been suggested, a brutish exercise of raw power. What we need is an AD who can help Mr. Haslam and other people be better helpers. I'm trying to assume the best about some charitable people and hope I don't get blasted.

Yea he's way out of line. I know I mentioned this a couple of weeks back about us arguing about my support for Butch back after Florida and you said you didn't remember. You, beechervol and others asked me why I was wanting to stick with Butch.

My answer was that I had no faith in our administration not to be imcompetent again when hiring a FB coach. You said new AD. I said same puppeteers moving the AD and after today my worst fears have come true.

Not my feelings but those I have seen from people that are not Vols fans are saying.

For me, for someone to testify under oath that Schiano was complicit and that Schiano has never attempted to sue for defamation tells me all I need to know.

I've shared all I can, some would say too much. There is no chance I misunderstood. I think Boomer vol indicated he had been told "former Tampa Bay coach," but that is not what was conveyed to me.

I believe what I was told, that Gruden signed on the 14th. Whatever happens in the future with our coach and our program, I believe that event took place.

First, let's start with your validity.

What was the "smartass remark"? Was it that loving UT is not the only qualification for being an AD?

That remark was logical and reasonable and did not indicate I believe a new AD is needed at the moment.

Now, what is your solution to the problem?

No I don’t enjoy it a bit. I am in the orange and white pit of misery with everyone else right now. But it is what it is. I’m really not sure how we come back from this. However I am proud our fans put a stop to the Schiano nonsense. I just hope I’ve seen the end of this Gruden nonsense for my lifetime. 5 years has been plenty. Dilly dilly!!!!
