I’ve never been more proud to be a Tennessee volunteer. I hope to God Currie is fired over this and get Blackburn to the Hill.
I do seriously think something big is gonna come from this , maybe not a coach but the right AD

Why would we even consider hiring a scumbag bad enough to make Peyton Manning use language that would make a sailor blush. Look it up ordering players to dive at knees, covering for child rape, yep sounds like leadership material to me.....

I read that earlier today. He instructed his players to grab the ball when opposing QB took a kneel down. One player said it was only time Peyton ever cussed.

This is an opinion board. Which means rumors are going to start and be shared. This isn’t PhD thesis.
Come off the high horse.
These people interning bashing others had a choice.
Listen, and choose to believe or not believe.
If you didn’t get the result you wanted then blame yourself. You had the data right or wrong and had the opportunity to interpret it any way you wanted.
Stop the blame nonsense.
The I told you so stuff is childish and unbecoming

I agree. It's all information. That is all it is. What one chooses to do with it, that is on them, no one else.

lol, OK.

I will make a note of this for the next time: "a.. dirty.. hairy.. caveman... with..."

Well, it's a change from the rest of my notes on my phone which involve shopping lists and investments!

Good! I have a terrible way of explaining why we do what we do...haha! :good!:

He survived. I'd expect him to lay-low for a while considering the supreme amount of backlash he would face.

I don't think he was a troll. I think most everyone involved except two parties (Haslams and Currie) were blindsided by the events today.

Too much smoke about Gruden for the offer to have not been made.

Just my opinion.

He WAS and IS a troll. I have no doubt there was an offer. But I guarantee you there was no contract and it never was a done deal as he spread here. Why are people still hanging off of this guys man fruits? Wake up sheep.

Many on here keep referring to Schiano as Currie's man. This was not Currie's decision!

This all Haslam! He wanted to hire Schiano at the Brown's almost 3 years ago. This is Haslam's deal and Currie was simply the messenger!

Then why the heck does he not hire him for the Browns & leave us alone!

Y'all ever see that movie, "The Game" with Michael Douglas? I feel like we are at the end of it where Michael Douglas jumps off the roof bc his life has fallen completely apart, only to land on some inflatable thing, and he realized it was all a prank.

This. People need to understand you're not going to get what you want as long as the Haslams ride roughshod over the AD. This is where the fight needs to be focused. An unrelenting PR nightmare for the admin until the Haslams are removed from their position of influence..

I'm afraid as long as the Haslams keep pumping money into the University, very little will change. They don't want to upset their cash cow..

Never in a million years did I think I could wake up this morning and face a bigger UT blunder than the one we watched on the TV last night. This coaching search was supposed to be the season's saving grace.

I have been bad-mouthing Mullen recently too, saying our program would be average if he came here.....damn....I regret all that so much. I would kill to have him now, because what's coming clearly isn't good.

So after all that, Beav was just a troll with an agenda?

Meh... I don't think that's possible, really. Too many other people with the same story. Granted, one person could have 5-10 accounts on VolNation but I'm guessing it'd be pretty obvious to Freak. I tend to believe an unbelievable offer was on the table for Gruden, but Currie reports to Haslams, Haslams want power (which I don't understand why you want power over a program you've killed off, but whatever), and this went sideways fast.

Gruden still hasn't said no, for the record. Then again, our AD hasn't said jack today despite us getting tied to the back of a pickup truck and drug for 100 miles on the interstate...

The #1 priority for UT as of tonight is damage control. Best way to do that is change the narrative. Best way to do that is hire the new FB coach asap so he becomes the story. I would expect someone to be in place before Friday. JMO but hard to see UT allowing this negative media to dominate any longer than it has to.

Yeah let’s panic and hire another Dooley. Okay guy. Smart move.
