Excellent. Re: your last sentence, please read this short message from Freak:

I’m not anti-Gruden. I hope he is hired. I’m simply commenting on the things in this thread. That’s what a message board is, isn’t it?

Looks like Dan Mullen to Florida will be a done deal very soon. My goodness.

half a$$ fans is what you get when you have an half a$$ adminstration making half a$$ hires. Ut just bent over to vandy last night for the 2nd year in a row. VANDERBILT IS THE EPITOME OF HALF A$$

I get it. I’m upset with you. All I’m saying is if Gruden isn’t the one, it has to be someone.

Mullen is mediocre.

Similar record as Butch vs top 25.

Below .500 SEC record.

Never beaten Bama.

The only argument people have is “it’s MSU.” So what? Could Saba, Meyer, Dabo, etc win a championship at MSU? I think they could.

He is a decent coach, nothing spectacular, taking him from MSU and Putting him at UT isn’t going to make him “Elite.”

Why does there need to be a “backup plan” if Gruden has already agreed to coach? Personally, I think this board has been fed a lot of B.S. re Gruden by some attention seakers.

If Currie simply needs to feign a coaching search to appease Gruden’s personal interests, that only makes sense in a short-term sense. Surely we won’t play that game until MNF finishes - recruiting cannot wait until January.

So I’m calling B.S. on this Gruden stuff at this point.

Cool, now GTFO!

I guess that means you will be leaving the thread??

Exactly .. low risk low reward . Don’t we want more than that this time ? The shape our program is in and fan base don’t we need more than a low risk guy ?

Who knows how well he would do at a place like UT with theit resources. He's done things at miss state that he shouldn't have ever done.

We're looking more and more like the half-decent looking guy that makes 50K a year who walks into a bar in the Upper east side of Manhattan looking to land a 10 but can't, and is pissed because that what he thinks he deserves..

Great coaches build powerhouse programs.

Mullen is not a great coach.

A good comparison of coaches with similar programs would be Spurrier when he took over SCAR.

Scar and MSU are similar in that historically they have been bottom feeders.

Spurrier was far more successful at building that program than Mullen has been at MSU. That’s because Spurrier is Elite and Mullen is not.
