All this **** going on seems like a big cluster FU## BY a bunch of idiots who are clueless or a well consealed and elaborate smoke screen by educated men trying to hide the white whale. With nothing in between.I am afraid they are clueless but I was hoping they really had a well thought out plan.Whatever it is I am ready for it to be over.

Rucker saying T Boone will not battle for another raise for Gundy.

Also, N111UT plane took off an hour ago!

Some good news.

Left out the n after CLOW. Now I've seen a report of it. Would like to see a reputable source report it. That would shoot down the report from an "insider" on 247 that Fulmer has assumed responsibility for the coaching hire.

To be fair to FD he actually gave us something tangible to think about. He said is info without giving away too much and pointed to a specific example of Haslam's ego on display

All you did was say you had some kind of damning info and then tried tell everyone to keep fighting a fight that we have no proof of something going on, only hearsay.

So maybe just maybe some people don't want to be made to look like fools again with and fight something with no real proof

Have any of us ever had any real “proof?” Not really. All of this has just been mostly speculation, which has developed into theory, which happens to fit the facts as we know them. Exile has alleged that there’s something out there about Haslam that can be damaging, and that it’s being used by those with the best chance of using it. Either believe him or don’t. But AV hasn’t been heard from since he said he was on his way to Knoxville and that the good guys were going into action. Given that he seems to be the most validated guy on here, I’d say that is some corroboration to Exile’s version of things. Whatever it is that he knows, he and the others have made the judgment that is would lose its value or do more harm than good to disclose it to the masses. Either stay steady and trust this, or go to another thread and discuss how whoever they trot out as the next coach really isn’t that bad, and pretend to not care that Haslam is still running the show.

Regarding FD’s info, it is corroboration that quite a few people have various knowledge of how J. Haslam was directly involved with this. If there is tangible proof, ie emails or recordings, then the governor is in a tight spot. Bill either knew about Jimmy’s involvement, and deliberately lied on camera the other day, or will have to throw Jimmy under the bus and say that Jimmy told him that he wasn’t involved. Either way, the truth doesn’t matter, but the statement Bill gave is a problem for him. Combining this with the number of elected officials that came out publicly on Sunday, and this mess could morph into a considerable political problem rather quickly. I presume that these various possibilities are part of whatever AV and his cohorts are working on and/or using to apply pressure.

Gundy is an incredible coach.
This isn't even debatable and shouldn't be a question. In some respects he's more proven than Gruden.

I really don't think he's coming. I think this was a PR move to give Currie and Haslam more time to pull another coach in. But we'll see, I'd be very happy if wrong.

To clarify my point, I would be happy with Gundy if that’s who we get. Obviously the points about Gundy being more proven in certain aspects are solid. At this point, Gruden or Gundy are far better than anyone Haslam / Currie are likely to trot out to the podium. At this point, nothing would surprise me.

Exile, AV,

Why can't one of the Tweet Kings/Queens tag all the power brokers, and the media and tell them a lot of this could have been avoided if the fans knew Gruden had or had not been officially contacted about the job, and if he had, whether he was on board or not? I don't do Twitter, but maybe I need to start.

Seems to me that gets everyone asking the same question in public and could put some of this to bed. To date, I don't recall anyone giving a definitive either way. I for one can live with the answer, it's getting the answer that had been driving a lot of us insane...including me. Thoughts?

This is the attitude that the Haslams are shooting for.

Lol. This has nothing to do with the Haslam's or really even the Schiano fiasco.

For the record, I wanted Gruden all along. I thought he would have been a transformational hire for our program. After Gruden, though, I had a short list of coaches I thought would be terrific (tier 1 candidates); Petersen and Patterson are part of that group. Gundy would absolutely be part of the tier 1 list. As I said before, he was tops on my list in 2012 -- after Gruden of course.

Mullen and Leach would be tier 2 coaches for me.

And Florida must agree with me since they offered their job to Gundy before signing Mullen.

Don't forget. Gruden could have told, UT,fans, media etc. that
I want to coach the VOLS man. That might of helped get the deal done.
Unfortunately, he didn't.

Blah blah blah.

I realized before this thread ever got going he might not want any part of college or NFL football. Are you telling me you just now realized that? Lulz.

He's said multiple times he wanted to coach again, and...you know what, you know all the rest.

You believe what you want.

No need to be a d***, but clearly you are. Do you have proof that he wants to coach UT? If so please provide it.

I was just trying to provide some clarity. And he has said he MIGHT like to coach again, never has he said he would coach college ball. If I am incorrect prove me wrong. Maybe he doesn't want to comment on the UT coaching search because he does like UT and also has a child in school here. I would love to have Gruden as our coach, but stamping my feet and crying isn't going to make it happen.

And again if I didn't make this clear, you are a d***. No need to respond like that.
