Because Kingston is one of those guys who bought into the Grumors a bit because he has a friend at Bama that said it was going to happen. And now that it's not he's in here mocking other Vol fans. He's not the only one and I think it's weak and pathetic to do that. The "I told you so" thing vs. your fellow fans is ugly and uncalled for. Especially from someone who had "sources" at one point calling Gruden to UT in this very forum. That's why.

And I agree with you, Strong would be a good hire. Gruden would be a great hire.

And it's not an "I told you so" motive.

It's a "Get off Gruden's dick and appreciate the great hire we're about to make." I don't want anyone to have their hearts totally set on Gruden, because that was never going to happen, and it makes every other candidate look bad.

Gruden wanted to come to UT. His wife wanted to move back. We were very close to getting Gruden. But Dave Hart dropped the ball.

Probably. But what's the point of jumping in this thread to convince folks that Strong is the man? You really think posters in the Gruden thread are going to all of a sudden go, "You're right, LotteryPick! Strong is the man, see ya Gruden!" Let things cool off for awhile, folks will come around if in fact Strong is hired and not Gruden.

It looks empty with less than 95,000 to me, and that's what you'll see every single week with continued mediocrity. Gamedays as a whole cost too much money as it is and most people are too frugal to waste it on bad "entertainment."
