Yeah, 2nd that. It was appreciated. Lots of fun, and I know there was truth to it. Would love to really know what went down with regards to the Gruden thing.

I had hope for a grand slam coach that would restore us back to our glory. We did not hire the one we all wanted. It is what it is, now. Maybe Butch Jones will work out supported by a great staff, maybe not. But let's dont mistreat him. He at least wanted to be part of our team and obviously thinks he can handle it or would not have come to us. I think we should give him a chance and welcome him and support his enthusiasm and efforts.
As far as the OGs on this site....WOW what a ride, it was/is very exciting. I hold nothing against you guys at all!!!! You shared your knowledge based on what you were told and gave us hope. You did not force it on us and cannot predict nor control the future. We are adults that took your information and applied it as WE saw it and HOPED it would be. I thank you for your friendship and support!

I just don't understand why our hopes always go unrewarded. it's difficult being a vols fan that's for sure

Im pissed but cant do anything about it except quit supporting financially n that's what i will do.

Lets see his first impression on the juniors that matters n what he does with this recruiting class.

He has to recruit at a very high level n if he doesn't do that regardless of our win loss record we r screwed.. Called cdd on it early on n will call this coach out.

Its up to UT to prove me wrong.

The first blowout to fla n swamp next year n the home games will be empty..

The last I checked no one got the right answer to who our coach was going to be. Where is the lynch mob for all the sports animal nimrods? Hyams never said Jones he was Strong all the way as was Hubbs and a host of other sports personalities.

The names of the sources doesn't really matter in the long run because what is done is done. I will never say who they were or what titles they may hold but I do know there is not a Vol fan out here that if these folks told you what we were told that you would doubt them.

I've been on this board for three plus years. These 16 threads have been the best time I've had since I've been here. It sucks the ending wasn't what we wanted but this ride was pretty F'n cool! Maybe we can relive it in 2016 :)

I just don't understand how a coach with one top 25 win could be perceived as a great hire. You are clearly in denial, just like I was about Gruden. The difference is, I'm willing to accept that fact while you cling to Hart's puppet strings. Enjoy the ride
