Wow, how old are you?

A fraud is someone who deliberately spreads misinformation, knowing at the time that it was false.

IMO, none of the OG's here were frauds, and furthermore, I think their sources believed what they were telling them, too.

Maybe the sources lied to the OG's; maybe the sources were lied to and passed it on in good faith; maybe it really was happening but the wheels came off.

Critical thinking: get some. It's a very useful skill.

Conversely, maybe they were a bunch of liars.

thank you for giving the definition of fraud because that's exactly what all these OG's were.

i'm not gloating over ****. i'm giving him exactly what he deserves, and i'm not talking to you. mind your own business sheep

Please. The coaching situation at the University of Tennessee is ALL our business. You posted a message for all to see, and anyone to respond to. Grow up.

While you're doing so, welcome to my IGNORE list. :clapping:

The difference is that most in the media admitted they had no clue who would be hired. They just said it definitely wasnt Gruden (that was right).

Hyams never said Strong was going to be our coach. He said Strong was the leading candidate (again, he was right)

In the long run, none of them said Butch Jones

awwww.....i'm on an ignore list? you are hurting my feelings.

Look forward to admiring the stadium next year in all its glory. In years past that was hard to do with all the fans covering up the seating area.

Knew someone was gonna say it and figured it would be you to do so. ; )> Always enjoyed your "this is what I know" posts in this thread.

Lex - There were only three parties to this: (1) AD (2) Boosters and (3) Gruden. Someone backed out or got cold feet. Maybe more than group, maybe all three, or maybe fractured combinations of the three. Gruden obviously was warm to the idea, or we wouldn't have made it that far, and he wouldn't have gone so far as to start assembling a staff, which has been part of the public record for a while now.

Any thoughts? I really have no idea, because I have heard multiple things but none from any close to the action that I really trust.

Word Im hearing is deal was all but signed with Gruden last night - one hold up was money for Zook. they got money.

total pay for all coaches $11 mill included R Morris, T Martin, Graham, Jeremy Bates.

As of 2:30 am everyone thought deal was completed. Everyone wakes up this moring and Hart had pulled huge rope a dope... did deal on his own with Jones.... Most if not all booster were shocked this morning to find out about jones deal.

stuff went on in dark of night last night!!!

Don't know.....but you can be sure if I find out it won't be posted here. I've learned my lesson.

I wish you would man. I really would love to know.

Forgot all these fools who are bashing you. You know most of them would be not be in here if they had to be on the other end of it.

I believe you put out what you heard from people you trusted and there is nothing wrong with that.

For what is it worth I was told the first offer to Gruden was $4.6 and 4 for staff. Then it all broke down and only Haslam, Gruden, and Hart only know why.

Feldman is awesome:

Sure some skeptics say Jones followed Brian Kelly at both stops as if that should undermined what the 44-year-old had accomplished, but it's worth noting that Kelly also followed Mark Dantonio at UC after he built the Bearcats program. UT fans may have wanted Strong, but Jones has a 2-1 record against him.

According to sources, the biggest hangup on Jones for UT was that he didn't have any SEC coaching experience. The problem with that is neither did Urban Meyer before he got to Florida or Nick Saban before he got to LSU or Mark Richt before he got to Athens or James Franklin before he arrived at Vandy or Kevin Sumlin before A&M moved into the SEC or . . .

On the flipside of that, Derek Dooley had SEC experience, and well, that didn't work out so well.

I'm so glad to have people come in and let us know Gruden is not our coach... I'm not sure I could have figured that out by myself...

It's also so honorable of you to come and try to lead us sheep away from those vicious wolves(OGs) as clearly we were all just lined up for the slaughter...

PLEASE continue to explain how they could have never known ANYTHING even though the national media was at one time reporting the same thing...

Honorable crusade you're on.

Unlike you, looks like Elvis wants more than below mediocrity. At least you and a few more 'fans' will have the stadium to yourselves.......
