It is comical that you think we didn't have a shot. It was really close to happening. If the guys in charge wanted to put the money up we would have him right now.

Yea i wanted gruden, but when HE said no himself, i had to accept we didn't have a shot, and all these 'done' folk's had bad sources or were trolling. You look now there are some who actually believe we are hiring butch jone's to coverup in 2 week's that ut will fire him for gruden? Now some are believing that, the ad is broke, but we can afford that?

Sure there was a lot of hype in V.N. and you're right to some degree. . . But Hart really talked big, and I just don't think he delivered the type of guy he promised. I don't hate Butch, He's just the last guy I expected. This is a huge promotion for Butch and a test to his career.

It depends on the definition of fiscal responsibility. I believe it is fiscally irresponsible to pay Butch Jones $3 million per year. Donations and season ticket sales will be the same if not lower. It is apparent the powers involved do not want to implement the Alabama business model.

Hence the use of the words, "to some." To implement said model, one would assume the two balance sheets, as well as current, future cash flows start in similar places.

Again, administrative and supporters commitments will probably be discussed at great length, both in private and eventually in the press.

I like Bray but with this type a coach and CP and Hunter pretty much gone, I think its best for Bray and the team if he bolts for the NFL. All the talk of Petermans smarts and athleticism the past five months, I am excited to see what he can do.

Part of owning up to a mistake is coming clean, not just saying "I'm sorry".

It's so easy to say "I wont reveal my sources", especially when there are none or at least none worth putting 100% faith in.

Integrity though, is being here to defend those who passed along information from credible sources who are just as miffed as we are. They were wrong, but they weren't trolls. The fact they won't jeopardize their sources livelihood so you guys can point and laugh, is the epitome of integrity.

I'll wait and see who he hires as staff as well as how he finishes this recruiting class. I just hope this pans out.

Butch Jones has a 2-1 record against Charlie Strong. UT's defense was ranked # 107 last year ( ESPN - points against ) and Cincy's was ranked # 12. Not a fan of the hire but I'll back him till he gives me a reason not to. j/s

I don't envy Butch when it comes to succeeding at his job. I think it will be all uphill for him, both ways as they say. However, $3 million a year should help soothe ole Butch.

As for UT fans, looks like this is what is in store for us. Or maybe already happening for us. We'll know if Troy asks UT to be their homecoming 'guest' shortly.
