What about fan support. Seems to me that Cheek just messed up bad. The reason he had to give the money back to the Athletics was so they could even pay any coach without outside support.

Now they spent it on someone who will fail here. Not saying Jones is not a good coach but we need the best here to compete and make up the recruiting differences.

The faculty and students should be up in arms. Cheek gave back 18 million which, due to likely failure on the field in the future, Academics will never see again. Two years down the road when we can still only compete with two teams from our conference, there will be no rebate from academics to be had because Athletics can not afford to pay them. What the h*** are these people thinking.

Enjoyed the ride OG's! Hate this didn't work out like your sources thought it would. I would hope that this was Hart's fault and not the boosters, guess we'll never know.

I haven't posted in any of this until now because of how many times I've hit F5.

Have you guys heard of the new construction changes at Neyland Stadium that Cheek, Hart, and the BOT are planning with the new hire of Butch Jones? They are going to improve the view of the Tennessee River from certain points on campus by removing the upper deck and Neyland. There's no need for 100,000 plus seats anymore.

This hire is a joke. Listen, he's a solid coach, but can anyone honestly say they are excited for the spring game, that he will generate immediate excitement on the recruiting trail, that he will bring a buzz back to our program, that he will increase or unite our fanbase, and the answer is no!!! He is not a proven winner in a big time conference. The Big East is the laughing stock of the BCS, and we were dying to hire coach from there. He's beat 1 top 25 team. I'm sorry, but this hire should unite us, not divide us. It should excite us, not cause us to say common guys let's give him a chance!

I've always supported by university as a lifelong vol fan and alumni, but I've had it. This decision not only hurts our program, but it hurts the city of Knoxville economically. Knoxville had a buzz when I went to college here in the 90s. Game days were exciting. Now it's a beautiful place to live with great people and complete apathy for a once proud program among very proud fans.

TN is screwed to put it kindly. I will not waiver a fan or a Grude but I refuse to believe that TN will ever recover from this.

Goodbye current talent (bray, hunter, Patterson, Rivera...)
Goodbye all the prize recruits we could have had and now will NEVER again have b/c of Hart's incompetency.

Hart should be fired for falsifying his resume. I hear it says he is the Athletic Director at the University of Tennessee. Don't you actually have to do the job to be able to say that you have the job?

I don't blame the OGs. Hell, I had a friend of mine that has worked for the team since the mid 90s tell me it was Al Golden, but he was wrong! That doesn't mean that he lied or made up his inside info! It also doesn't mean that Im not going to be friends with him anymore neither! Sometimes youre right and sometimes youre wrong. The OGs were wrong.....so what? The bottom line is that I wish that they were not wrong and I will support coach Jones. Just watching his videos on youtube makes me like him better than Dooley! Atleast he has some grit in his shi-t! Lets see what kind of staff that he can put together. Lets hope that he can get VFLs on staff and bring back the traditon! Lets hope that he reaches out to the former players and gets them back involved with the program! Lets hope that he calls Phillip Fulmer and picks his brain to learn what TN is all about! Go Vols!!

Integrity though, is being here to defend those who passed along information from credible sources who are just as miffed as we are. They were wrong, but they weren't trolls. The fact they won't jeopardize their sources livelihood so you guys can point and laugh, is the epitome of integrity.

Guys, as much as I hate to, I will have to support BJ until he proves that he can't win HERE. I really wanted Gruden, but it just didn't happen. One positive out of all this is, maybe now we can get the Bammer and Gator out of their positions, and get some Orange blood in those positions.

I disagree with hire for sure..but more with the way search was handled publicly .obviously he allowed leaks about who was being interviewed and to be publicly rejected by so many coach..from Louisville
