I get the feeling this guy would be a great ambassador for the university. He's one of the good guys in college football. His recruiting would pick up at Tennessee undoubtedly. I really would like to get him.

I was all in for Gruden... now I'm all in for Gundy.. I bet he's just using us to get a raise though. Why would Hart go to his "house" to talk? Most of the time you meet in a secret location to discuss things.. he's using us unfortunately. IMO.

I'm all in for Gundy. He currently makes 3.25m and we can/should bump that up to 4.5m.

In terms of his staff...

OC: Todd Monken
Assistant OC: Trooper Taylor
DC: Gene Chizik (I think we can all agree he is a top DC)

IMO, slim chance we keep any from the current UT staff. Graham/Pittman maybe if he would want to keep some sense of unity. Problem is his RB/OL coaches have performed very well. The OSU site seems to think the current DC there would be named HC. That would work out better for us anyways. Narduzzi is at Michigan State and makes 500 grand a year. He would be a STEAL at 750,000.00 and bring him to the SEC.

Gundy's not my first choice but I'd take him over Strong in a heartbeat and that seems to be what it's coming down to.

I would Hart would make sure Trooper is not an option for Gundy in any way. God knows what kind of "issues" Trooper could bring with him from AU. 3-4 months from now he is under investigation. NO THANKS!

This. This. This. Gundy is the definition of a mediocre hire. What is his specialty? Offense? Great. You need a defense in this league, and we already have a stud OC. Strong is the best choice at this point. End of story.
