Official South Park Fanclub Thread

That one was great, but it was aided by it being so topical. When that episode aired, practically everyone in the country was either playing WoW or knew someone who was addicted.

I can assure you that I was not playing WoW and that I didn't know anybody who was.

Bold statement there.

My favorite episode is Chinpokomon.

Faith Hilling is my favorite episode this year, and it's in my top ten all time. Also in my top ten is last year's Creme Fraiche.
All time greats right there

I choose you, shoe!

You were definitely a rarity four-ish years ago, then.

I forgot how much I enjoyed the multiple personalities one with Dr Jannis turning out to be the City Wok guy.

My fav all time south park episode has to be the maury povich episode. I don't think I have ever laughed as hard as I did during that episode. Cartman at his finest imo

Last weeks was great, this week was decent. The searching for the bar part was kinda dumb, the rest was pretty funny.

Yea the whole James Cameron thing was a little over the top. But this was a classic Cartman episode, which I love.

It's GangnamStein!

The Succubus episode in Season 3 is easily my favorite of all time. "I need about tree fitty"

The Freak Strike one had me crying. Classic Butters.

Looks like - based off the title- tonight's episode is going to be (at least somewhat) about the Armstrong stuff

Next season of South Park delayed until September (they usually start in the spring). Also reducing the season to 10 episodes apparently (rather than a split 7 in the spring and 7 in the fall).

South Park: Season 17 Delayed Until Fall - IGN

With South Park renewed through 2016, fans no longer have to worry about the animated comedy returning to television. However, that doesn't necessarily determine the number of episodes we'll see. As co-creator Matt Stone revealed in a recent interview with The New York Times, South Park won't be getting the usual 14-episode order for Season 17.

Normally, South Park seasons are split into two, delivering seven episodes on each run. Now, though, the creators have decided to scale back and create ten episodes to air uninterrupted.

"Why did we do seven and seven to begin with? We just sort of made that up," Stone said. "We are switching to ten for the same reason. It just sounded like a good number, and we won't break up the year so we can more easily do other stuff."

While this decision may seem arbitrary, Stone explained that there's a reason behind cranking out these seasons all at once. "There is no appointment viewing anymore," he said. "In our first season, you had to show up on Wednesday nights at 10 pm on the Comedy Channel to catch the show. Now, I don't even know where or how people watch our show. We sort of don't really care about ratings. It's more important to come up with work that will add to the library in a way that we're proud of and will make people want to catch the show wherever they want to."

Added co-creator Trey Parker, "Now instead of putting out two albums a year, we are only going to do one, which is more manageable and ensures that it will be something we are proud of."

Along with this news, it was revealed that South Park: Season 17 has been delayed and won't begin airing new episodes until September 25 (as opposed to its usual spring start date).

What do you think of Parker and Stone merging Season 17 into one, slightly shorter run? Let us know in the comments!

I saw this coming. Just glad they're still making new episodes. If they reduce the burden maybe they'll keep it going for 30 seasons.

Also, condensing the season probably means they only use the cream of the crop when it comes to current events they satirize.

Oh my god I can't believe you're listening to my phone calls. This is a private conversation. -On speakerphone-

Haha

I actually thought that episode was just OK. Some great lines like the one you mentioned, but this week's about "murder porn" was amazing.
