Official Thread of the St. Louis Cardinals

I think he was probably more embarrassed than hurt. :) It's gonna take a lot more than that to injure somebody like Matt Holliday.

First series loss for the Cards since dropping two out of three against the Phillies on July 24th-26th. Franklin continues to suck since signing his extension.

Holliday in St. Louis: .356/13HR/49RBI in 50 games.

And the game-winning, walk-off homer in the ninth tonight.

Good win today for the Cards. The magic number is now 4... but seriously, is Franklin going to single-handedly take away the Cy Young from Carp? Could he blow any more of Carp's wins? I wonder how much Waino is paying Frankie, haha.

In all seriousness, our closer situation is a legitimate concern heading into postseason play.

I never have trusted Franklin all that much, but he's fell off the map since he signed the contract extension on the first of this month.

DeRosa must like hitting in Houston. Since joining the Cardinals, he has 10 home runs with 5 of them occurring in Houston.

He loves the short porch in left! Not that his 2 bombs yesterday wouldn't have been out of any ballpark. Those were a couple of shots.

Pretty amazing. Go Cardinals!

Edit: Ummm... Why was my post moved to this Cardinals thread? I posted this in the Braves thread because the Braves needed the Cards to win. Of course, they didn't. Yeah...

Will be at the Great American Ballpark tomorrow for Smoltz vs. Arroyo.

From the looks of the crowd tonight, we'll get our seats of choice.
