This year my son started playing tee ball in the local league. His team: the cardinals. They use the spring training hat so I took supporting him as an excuse to buy this bad boy.

I must say, it pains me that I am tied to the Stros so tightly. The Cards caps are freakin awesome looking. I just cant bring myself to be "that guy" who buys another teams lid, when I dont really support them.

Motte was one of the best defensive catchers I've ever seen in the Minors.

Just couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat.

I think he was fast tracked too quickly to the bigs. He's still very, very green on the mound.

Still a bit big on him. Hopefully he'll grow into it soon.

I hope he can turn into something. Cards are a potential World Series winning-team this year if the bullpen can put it together. I was very pleased with Penny's first start.

Errors can mess up a starting pitcher in a given game, especially against a good offense.

Penny has looked good in both his starts. If the bullpen can start getting it together, the Cards have a great 1-2-3 rotation.

Now if Lohse can do well tonight...

This team has got to start putting together some offense soon. I realize that they just left San Fran, but this is getting ridiculous.
