Official Thread of the St. Louis Cardinals

I think the Cardinals edge out the Pirates for the NL Central Division title in 2015.

I prefer the talking heads not select us to win the Central. We tend to do better when the "experts" don't pick us to win our own division.

As for Waino, I really hope that all of this is actually precautionary. The Redbirds front office is one of the worst offenders of withholding the complete truth when it comes to these matters.

Where will Jason Heyward hit in the Cards lineup? I hear the Cards want him to hit with more power but I don't think he's a power hitter.

Anywhere between 2-6, with 3 being ideal. He's versatile which is one of the reasons he was brought in. It should be fun to watch his development

Excellent start by Martinez. Very good outing for Cooney, too.

Each time I read Dan Haren's name or see his face I wonder what could have been if he had stayed in St. Louis and developed under Duncan. We will never know.

Great start to kick off spring training.

So far, it seems we have a real good problem to have. Marco, Carlos, and Jaime have all been very solid.

I'm hoping Pham's injury today isn't serious because I could see him replacing Bourjous as that utility outfielder.

I'm perfectly fine with Marco taking the 5th spot in the rotation if the season started today. Carlos is a fighter and will keep it a competition. He's good enough for Matheny to flirt with idea of a 6 man rotation. I know it won't happen but it's fun to pretend.
