Official Thread of the St. Louis Cardinals

Who the hell thought it was a good idea to bring up a pitcher (again) who has a 5+ ERA in ****ing AAA?

I have no clue what Matheny was doing tonight. We were gifted this game and he kept on handing it back with his moronic personnel moves.

The supposed strength of the team is turning into a weakness very quickly. We don't have enough offense to blow games like this.

Cueto. Guys like Pierzynski are up there as well but none of them have ended someone's career on purpose.

Thought that was Volquez that landed the cleats to the back of the head.

FTR, I'm not a Cueto fan. He flat out cost us a chance at the WS in game 4 against the Giants. A "blister " on his finger in the first inning. He stays on the DL. Pitches when he wants. When he's on, he's great.

Looked it up again to make sure - it was Cueto. That brawl was disgraceful for both sides (I fully admit Molina was childish and Carp helped escalate it), but Cueto went above and beyond. A lot of Cards fans hate BP but I have a ton of respect for him. Cueto just seems like a douche and a clubhouse cancer.

Couldn't remember. He and Volquez were pushed up against the backstop.

BP is a great guy. He has fun out there.

That team had a few problem children. Scott Rolen was known as "table for one". Cueto played when he wanted to.

Rolen's one of my favorite Cardinals ever. Would have been a sure hall of famer without injuries. That guy gave 100% in everything, but I think he was pretty frustrated for the latter half of his career after the shoulder injury.

it was great to see holliday hit a grand slam last night. hate that his hr output has been down this season. hopefully this is the start of him being on a serious roll.

Grichuk would be in the conversation for RotY if he hadn't missed so much time. His peripherals are better than Pederson and about the same as Bryant. The guy is good.

Also, Garcia was part of a combined no-hitter last night in his Peoria rehab start.
