Not the bat I was thinking. Johnny Mo is insane to make this trade. Screams desparation after Holliday going down.

If he's prepared to give away Kaminsky I would have thought we could get someone a lot better. Now there are two Mark Reynolds on the team.

I'll give MO the benefit for now. I can't think of a trade, off the top of my head, that hasn't worked for us. Some have been better than others, sure. But I can't think of a bust.

Justin Masterson sucked when we traded for him last year.

I really thought the Broxton trade was just so we could piece together a trade for someone else. I trust Mo...but the Moss trade has me concerned

Despite his 0-4 Moss was hitting the ball very well tonight. 3 warning track fly balls and a rocket up the middle that was caught due to the shift. Sooner or later he'll get a few of those to drop.

Pretty much got Broxton for free, so I don't have an issue with that.

I realize that I can't compare the trades straight up, but the Mets were able to get Cespedes by trading 2 prospects outside the top 100. We traded away a prospect in the top 100 and got Moss. Just something to think about...

Oh, I agree it's an overpay any way you slice it. Fortunately, even without Kaminsky we still have three pitchers in Reyes, Gonzales, and Cooney that (for now) look like MLB starters.

First base is still looking like a huge question spot for the near future. I'm not sure if the ultimate plan is to put Piscotty there, but Reynolds won't be a Cardinal next year, Moss's arbitration salary is pretty high for what he's shown recently, and Adams has been a disappointment.
