Official Thread of the St. Louis Cardinals

Tom Glavine vs. Chris Carpenter tomorrow night at 8:05EST on ESPN2.

I just realized Isringhausen will be back in the closer role. :(

Yes.

In a bit of encouraging news, Izzy had a 1.50 ERA in 6 Spring Training innings. He did allow 8 hits and 2 walks in those 6 innings, though.

...and the Cardinals start this regular season the way they ended the last one; losing.

Down 5-0 so far.

Yeah, looks like they're going to start the season 0-1. Good thing they've got 161 left to play. May start 0-3 the way the Mets look.

Cards lose 6-1 to start the season.

Eckstein went 3-4 with the lone RBI.

Carpenter got roughed up, gave up 5 runs in 6 innings. Off til Tuesday.

0-1

I mean no one said anything about it. It was the best play of the game, and there was a man on 2nd, 1 out, #2 hitter up, and they send Eck.

Play at the plate, 2 out. Then the Cards load the bases and get nothing out of it. That throw was the reason the Cards lost the game.

Sorry for bringing it up but I would assume people would be more apt to talk about the turning point of the game instead of bitching about the last two innings or that I would mention something bad that happened to the Cards. Sorry for being objective.

I'm not sure what to tell you other than it's a Cardinals thread, of course we're going to talk more about what the Cardinals did or didn't do. I possibly would've commented on the play you're talking about had I seen it. Unfortunately, they don't have an in game TV screen built in on the Yahoo! Gamecast as of last night.

It was on National TV, ESPN2. You had said it yourself, so I figured you would be watching it...And since it is a Cards thread, I figured I would talk about the Cards. But I guess we'll only talk about the selected parts of the game you want to talk about Tidwell. No wonder you think they are going back to the playoffs.

I watched the first inning and I had stuff to do online, so I fired up the gamecast and watched it from there. Again, I apologize for not seeing the play you're referring to, I'm sure it was magnificent.
