Official Thread of the St. Louis Cardinals

Why is Skip Schumaker making errors in right field? Better yet, why is Skip Schumaker on the field?

Cards down 2-0 in the middle of the 5th, both runs of the unearned variety.

The Cards just walked the #8 hitter with 2 outs to load the bases to bring up the easy out/pitcher... who then proceeds to smack a two run double.

4-0 bottom 6... Wells due up first, I doubt he hits here.

Pretty nice debut for Wells until the 6th inning there. 2 unearned runs, one of which was his doing after he committed an error.

The NL Central is tougher than most people think this season. The Cubs and Brewers are much improved, and the Astros should contend. The Reds aren't exactly terrible, either.

The Cubs are the CUBS, the Reds have no pitching after Bronson and the Astros will be lucky to finish third in the division

The Brew Crew scare me though

Maine vs Looper tonight?

Maine came on very strong last season as a 2nd or 3rd starter with all of their injuries.

It will be interesting to see how Braden Looper can handle being a starter this year.

Looper pitched pretty well, but hit a wall in his last inning.

Absolutely 0 offense from the Cardinals so far this season.

Three Mets' pitchers combine to two-hit the Cards and win 10-0.

Brutal series for the Cards offensively and defensively.

0-3

I don't think the season could have started any worse for the Cards  . The Cards' starters are not very good, except for Carpenter(now has a sore elbow) and their bats are ICE COLD. Only 3 games into the season, a lot of ball to play!
