Official Thread of the St. Louis Cardinals

Cards winning 3-2 in the 7th.

6 solid innings out of Wainwright for a change. Lowered his ERA to 5.60 for the year.

Duncan and Pujols (2) with the RBI.

In other news, Jocketty banned alchohol from the clubhouse after it was found Hancock was legally drunk when he wrecked.

Good move, I guess.

How common is it for players to get drunk in the clubhouse anyway? It's safe to Hancock didn't do it there.

And with that, I officially concede the 2007 season of the Cardinals.

I will however accept any miracles that do come their way.

Brad Thompson is starting on Tuesday. That'll be a disaster. Walt might want to start working on a blockbuster deal.

Chris Sampson (3-1, 3.55) vs. Braden Looper (3-2, 2.84) this afternoon.

Hopefully Looper can bounce back from his worst start of the season against Milwaukee.

Ryan Ludwick was called up to take Wilson's place on the roster. 0-3 so far today, but with an RBI groundout.

Cardinals win 3-1 to take the series.

It's becoming apparent that St. Louis must get an exceptional start from their pitcher to have a chance. They just can't score a bunch of runs.

12-17

Central Standings just over a month into the season...

1. Milwaukee 21-10
2. Chicago 15-14
3. Cincinnati 14-17
4. Houston 13-17
5. Pittsburgh 13-17
6. St. Louis 12-17

lol..... he is mashing right now in the minors

Minor League Baseball: Stats: Player

Are you being sarcastic? Because he actually has been hitting the ball real well... especially as of late. Ludwick got called up instead of Ankiel because he's been hitting the ball all season down in Memphis.

Rick Ankiel will get his chance in the major leagues this season, mainly because of the lack of production from the Cardinals OF (besides Duncan).
