The KY loss blame can be placed on the players lack of effort just as much as the coaching, you can't have it your way only Beef. The Vandy win...more times in the past 10 years the games between us and Vandy have been tight so a win was great, doesn't mean Vandy is on the same level of tradition as we are now but Vandy was once a proud football program. The Arkansas game reminded me of the Ole Miss game back in 2009, we just didn't have the talent to hang. Arkansas team was head and shoulders above us in talent and depth last year so to be upset over a spanking given that info is well...sour grapes...we have struggled and failure to acknowledge the roster the past 2 years and how that has more to do with our performance on the field vs the HC...well... that is shallow as well.

I don't think there is a fan on this site that wants to settle for being mediocre and believe it or not most of us can watch a game and see poor coaching mistakes as well as you can't win the KY derby if your riding a mule.

There are several that shouldnt be on there, including you, Eric, Justin, Lex. Not even Beef(cant believe I said that)

There are only a handful that I would say were just truly deserving

Most are just on the fence

I just happen to be leaning toward Dooleys yard

What's ironic is that you DDNMWB claim that those of us who are critical of DD "bad mouth" the team. And yet you nor any of your ilk can find a single post where we have. And here's you in this post I'm quoting blaming the players in order to defend DD. That is a damn sight more a bad mouthing the team than anything I've EVER done. Anytime anyone brings up the KY game y'all throw the players under the bus to defend Dooley. But hey, that's only natural seeing how DD does the same thing. Throw the players under the bus and not accept responsibility is the M O of Orange pants.

Forgive my ignorance but I have no idea what DDNMWB stands for nor will you ever find a post from me that says I supported the hire of DD. Now on to the rest of your retort....

I have always said the KY loss should be placed on lack of effort from the players and from the coaching staff, but in no way can I say it was the coaches only fault because you win and lose as a team. I have also never liked throwing players under the bus but if you listen to other coaches in this conference they will do the same after a loss. Phil did it as well he just went about it a little different.. Do you recall watching the Phil Fulmer show on Sundays? When a player missed a tackle Phil would say yeah he missed that tackle we need to work with him to stop that from happening.

I believe in my heart we will be Bama.

I may be wrong and if I am I'm gone but I do believe we do it this year.

I just have this strange feeling this year is going to go one of two ways: we are going to shock the world and come out swinging or we are going down in fllames again and Dooley is gone. There will be no middle ground and I chance have to believe this is the year we get back on the right track.

Until the end of the season and only after the media hounding him did he take responsibility for anything. And most coaches accept responsibility and then will answer specifics. DD doesn't. He throws players under the bus on a regular basis. And with all the faults we can aim at PF one thing he did was take blame after games.

Phil did the same thing he just went about it a little more subtle. Nick Saban doesn't address the media, Spurrier will throw his players under the bus during halftime of a game, Richt is more like Phil.

As far as his timing on addressing the media after the KY loss? his staff was leaving and he knew it before the KY game, I would hope the man was busy trying to get names to go with his new staff and making sure the recruits the team had been working on we were still showing interests instead of addressing the media after that loss.

LOL I don't brow beat the man like some on here do but support only goes as far as he is the HC for the Vols. He has his faults and I don't mind discussing those but I do believe the man needs to show if he has what it takes this year and this is the first year where he has had enough depth and talent to compete in this conference.

Chizak had a losing record before Auburn didnt he ? The players that quit are unfortunatly still on the team and I agree that should have benn dealt with sternly -- several should have been made examples of

I'm just exciting UT football is right around the corner. IMO, I don't think 8 wins will be a walk in the park for Dooley, but I expect the Vols to be competitive in all but one games this year.
