Official Vols vs Memphis game thread

The refs did a very good job of not being noticed for the most part. They called a fair game with the exception of a few questionable calls that will always be there. That is absolutly rediculous to be blaming the refs on that game.

I thought that the refs called a very fair game and let the two teams play alot of bb...

The only thing better than beating Memphis to be the number #1 team in the country is to beat Vandy at Vandy by 20 after beating Memphis to be the #1 team in the country.

QUOTE=Volz4lif3;1231204]Memphis needed to lose and i'm kinda relieved they finally lost. Pearl had great playcalling with attacking the basket. Memphis needs to become tougher. Tennessee was a better team tonite and yes FT's lost the game for Memphis.

That is the most sorry excuse I have ever heard of. You cannot possibly be relieved that the team you are a fan of just lost to an in-state, OOC rival.[/quote]
the Tigers were undefeated u freakin Moron they needed to lose they havent felt like this all year, unlike u guys Kentucky remember. Yes it hurts to lose to you guys, but Tenn played harder and wanted it more. Once again Congrats on being #1 in the state and the nation.

I never heard the announcers say a word about the officials, the best praise they can earn. You know Vitale would point it out if he saw anything.

Thank you Coach Pearl.

Thanks for building a basketball program in 2.5 years that walks around with a strut and is not scared of anyone, anywhere, anytime.

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

I give Memphis credit. They really did a number on Lofton.

The funny thing is some fools on their boards call Tennessee "UTLOFTON" funny that even with him playing poorly we still beat them in Memphis, it shows how balanced we really are this year.

You know it ain't easy
You know how hard it can be
The way things are going
They're goin' to piss on UT

This has been a crazy day, sitting in a room full of Kentucky fans watching the game black out to a Duke game with 50 seconds left, and Outrebounding Memphis, Wayne Chism nailing threes, and JP Prince hitting two clutch free throws.

I mentioned in the game thread earlier that Cal looked nervous in an interview before the game started. He has lost to us at TBA last year and now lost at home to us with so much on the line (#1 ranking and perfection). There are more games to come in this series. I think Bruce knows how to handle Cal's style of bb and Cal knows it. Is it just me?

Okay guys, I have given this much deliberation, and I called the score a few days ago at 80-75. Unfortunately I think the home court advantage is the deciding factor here, and I am going with Memphis.

That being said, I hope each and every one of you comes on here tomorrow to drill me and tell me how wrong I was.

Give it to me guys, because being wrong will never, ever be so sweet :)
