Oh Yeah, He showed us

I recall us recruiting him early on then us and bama both backed off for some unknown reason, but was speculated as grade related? From the little bit of ky games I’ve seen this year, Brown is dynamic with the ball in space and made me wish we’d signed him.

Honest to goodness, I know it's the cliche thing to say, but really...never heard of him.

Maybe I should spend more time in the recruiting forum. But never heard of this dude ever.

Hard to be mad when you're totally oblivious lol.

Go Vols!

I hadn’t either until I saw the UK/OM game. Not saying they’ll beat us, but you’ll know who he is after Saturday

Buck still trying to prop up UK was interesting.

No school gets every good in state player. If this kid wanted to leave the state then that's on him. If he wanted to play for a team that peaked as an also ran then that's his choice too. I'd be angry if there weren't multiple slot receivers at UT with his talent or better... maybe. Sounds like he's more bothered by not being at UT than any of us are he's not there.

UT signed Webb, Nimrod, White, et al. Guys who weren't academic concerns.

My main point being, he may be awesome but don’t artificially build yourself up by fooling yourself into thinking you’re at the center of a group of people’s angst.

I don’t know if an offer was made and he spurned us. But I doubt there are a large group of people mad that he went to UK. In Blount County, no one was upset when the Alcoa guys went to n Kentucky

If you are a 4 or 5 star legacy player from east Tennessee such as Cade Mays, who reneges on a commitment and then signs with a top tier rival program, like Georgia ... or worse, like Aaron Douglas (RIP), and transfers from Tennessee to Alabama, you will catch the ire of some bitter Tennessee fans, who have misplaced priorities ... but other that ? Most Tennessee fans won't notice, much less care.

This guy is kidding himself, if he thinks the average Tennessee fan even knows who he is. There is no reason for Tennessee football fans to give a crap about who plays for Kentucky.

Everyone saying “who?”… he was a top 100 prospect from Nashville. I know it was tongue-in-cheek by most of y’all. But he was a good prospect, I believe he had grade/eligibility concerns. Not sure if that affected how hard the coaches went after him or not, but he had an offer.

that may be true, but nowhere here have I read that people don't like him

I somewhat keep up with recruiting and watched some to most of 3 UK games. I wasn’t aware of him until I watched some of their games and he needs to be accounted for. I’m not sure if this kid had academic problems but he is dynamic as a kick returner. I’m sure he would be buried in depth chart at WR here. From what I’ve watched I’m sure ST coaches have instructed for kickoffs to go deep in end zone if doable. Not sure if he would have unseated Holliday as returner but so far he looks better.IMO

‘Tennessee fans, they don’t like me.’ Barion Brown key to Kentucky’s upset hopes vs. Vols.

First of all, I don't follow recruiting so I have to admit, I don't know who Barion Brown is.

Secondly, Why are we mad? You're the one who committed to a program whose high water mark has already hit their glass ceiling in 2021

If all these Nashville guys don't feel comfortable playing big time football for big time stakes; I'm not angry. Everyone needs to feel comfortable and some guys need a smaller pond with less competition to be comfortable
Who?

- Bullet dodged. Best decision for everyone.

Lets face it. For the last 15 years, our coaching staffs have not been the best in the SEC, muchness, the Nation. We lost a lot of good players to teams not named Tennessee. We could have us3d a lot of them but they went elsewhere. Those times are changing. We now have probably the best coaching staff in college football. We are recruiting very good players from all over the Nation. We are making inroads into many fetial recruiting grounds, including Middle Tennessee. We are also signing future stars from California to the East coast. We have now beaten Alabama and I have not seen Kentucky do that. m Kentucky even had difficulty beating Tennessee , even when we were losing to Vanderbilt. There are a good team and we will have to play well to beat them this year. However, we will play well and they will lose again, even with some of the better players form Tennessee playing for them. We win by at least 14 Saturday. It could be even more.
