Ohio State is the Most Delusional Fanbase in College Football

They are mad because we are 1-0 against them. They lost to us in Jan 1996 when they had an 11-1 record, three first round draft picks (Terry Glenn, Rickey Dudley, and Eddie George), the Heisman winner (George), Biletnikoff winner (Glenn), and Lombardi winner (Orlando Pace).

We had a really good team that year and finished 2 (coaches) and 3 (AP).
My VFL Dad's BF and family (Cleveland-born) were Buckeyes so we watched the game all of us and more.

I was 10ish and it felt good.

Absolutely. In fairness, Oregon will keep a good team also. Washington will go back to being Washington IMO...a team that hangs around the bottom of the top25 rankings and goes to bowl games.

IMO the B1G issue has never been that they don't have a few good teams. Some years Wisconsin is pretty dang good and has always been a good running team. Their problem is they have 10 crap teams. They historically always lack team speed as well. Get blown out in bowl games by middling SEC teams because the speed on the edges is vastly inferior. Hell, Misery took Ohio State to the woodshed last season in their bowlgame. Oregon and USC will join the 2 good teams already atop that conference. I would rather face either of them than Texas or Oklahoma though. Especially now that those 2 schools are in the SEC which will improve their recruiting. Texas in particular is gonna be tough...the SEC is so ridiculously stacked now it is insane. Thank goodness our recruiting is steadily getting better and better. We will need top5/top10 classes to compete.

F*** tOSU though

If they played more than one real team a year, and the same can be said for Mich, it would crush there soul to find out they are overrated year in an year out.

Buckeyes schedule will still be a cake walk. They are rotating the west teams so they only add 1 of them to their schedule each year. Itā€™s Mich, Penn, and Oregon the next two years and that is their hard games. Total joke of a conference.

James went to Miami didn't he?

I think the tOSU stuff was Eddie George being led by Orlando Pace.
You're right, it was Eddie George not Edgrin James. I was indeed mis-remembering. Thanks for the correction.

I was gonna post that myself, until I saw your post. All the hype and predictions were that The Ohio State Buckeyes would win in a walkover. One of the more enjoyable games I've watched in my Vol fandom.

There is way too many to be comfortable with. We call them the Buckeye/Suckeye Navy when the arrogant uppity Ohioans come down in the summer and invade our beautiful lake with their loud obnoxious boats. Norris hasnā€™t ever really been a good fishing lake but as of late itā€™s damn near impossible to fish in the summer without being bothered by them. Thatā€™s actually another reason why I love football season so much is cause they leave their lake houses sitting empty and go back home.

Edit: Catfishing is about the best kind of fishing there is in Norris. Iā€™ve never seen one quite that big but Iā€™ve seen some 50 pounders in person. They can grow really big.
Can confirm that Ohioans ruined Norris. My family owned a nice wooded cove until the yanks bought the lot next to us...they immediately clear cut the trees and built a giant yellow house that looked like a McDonalds. They rented the property out to other Ohioans along with a runabout boat that none of them could drive and had zero lake etiquette. Ignorance exists everywhere but in Ohio it's the norm.

The Big 10 is going to be tougher now. Not like the SEC but tougher than it was. The days of them playing two teams with a pulse each year are coming to a close.

It's funny that the conference only became tougher by adding Pac 12 teams. USC, Oregon, and Washington are instantly in the top six Big 10 teams with OSU, UM, and PSU, so six strong teams in an 18-team conference Aside from that, the conference still blows like it always has.

The SEC didn't even need to add UTjr and OU to be a better and deeper conference, but with them it isn't even close.

My buddy saw a guy at Stardust or Sequoya...big ole dude....that had a shirt on that said; "Not a FIFO" (F****** Idiot From Ohio). People were coming up to him asking what it meant. When he told them, many of the buckeyes were saying; "Why don't you like Ohio?". They are very oblivious to the annoyance they cause.

Back in 1995, my first year in DFW, I went to a billiards/sports bar to watch the Vols. Loud, drunk Buckeyes fan was shooting pool (badly) and talking up his team (incomprehensibly). He noticed I was the only patron watching the Vols and kept politicking me to dump my ā€œcrap teamā€ and watch greatness happen. Told him I was born and raised in Tennesseeā€¦why would I pull for that cult? Then another pool player who supposedly made money playing billiards got pissed and started punching him in the headā€¦true story. šŸ˜ When the Vols beat that very Buckeyes squad a few months later, I wondered if he was sober, yet.

Itā€™s not just Ohio fans butthurt, Georgia fans are posting salty things too

The consistently most arrogant fans I've come across are easily Penn State and Ohio State fans. Even the 'satellite' Penn State fans who never attended the school you find in abundance in NJ are brutal, but then most of them are also NY Giant fans, the most arrogant and delusional fan base on earth, period.

Georgia fans have entered that arrogant area as well, but they still have the insecurity from all those years without success that causes most of them to feel the need to comment on opposing teams' boards even with the two recent titles. It's amazing how UT lives rent-free in the heads of so many UGa fans. I just hope this fan base can handle the coming success without the arrogance.
