3rd and 20 we only rushed 3 after back to back sacks

You had me at the first sentence. No. 5 is Kamal Hadden. My thoughts exactly about him. His repeatedly getting burned all night (all season) is one thing but tonight this kid was running his mouth after just about every play. He embarrassed himself and the uniform he was wearing with his antics on national television. I would sit his butt down until he learns to control his emotions and keep his mouth shut. I would put a walk-on or a true freshman out there instead of him. I’m not sure they would play worse.

Since we're piling on here. Hadden was completely out of control tonight. That sh*t show from him should have not been tolerated. It reveals a critical lack of discipline by our staff. Can you imagine a average player acting like that for Bear Bryant or Johnny Majors or any successful coach? I can't.

And I'm not even going to get into the guy's actual play.

They targeted Turnage most of the night. He was beaten time and again.

Tonight is on the players. It's one thing if it's against UGA or Bama. But our guys should be athletically superior. We just looked slow, and weak on defense. Had no pressure on Rattler. At some point, as a player, you have to step up and make a play.

This is a very thin roster in the linebacker and defensive backs rooms.

It will take a couple of recruiting classes and possible portal additions to add some depth to those areas.

Tim Banks will likely be here next season and I think Heupel looks for another defensive backs coach during the off season.

We had two NFL draft picks in the defensive backfield last year, one who is thriving in the NFL, and they still sucked.

We don’t have the players on Defense to be good. It’s make shift at best. The offense has been covering the defense up all season. We scored 38 and got killed! Rattler is terrible and we made him look like Joe Montana. It’s happed all season except UK game.

Out coached tonight plain and simple. Martinez is Martinez and the development is going to be mediocre, but Banks mailed this one in and he couldn't make half time adjustments. We blitzed almost every play against Florida and Bama and were able to get enough pressure to rattle the qb. We hardle blitzed at all tonight and he sat back there and picked us apart. Banks has to go if he can't make in game adjustments.

Funny how nobody mentioned depth when we beat LSU and Bama. Nobody mentioned depth when we boat raced UK and Missouri. Why not?

I think one of the big problems is we don’t have any real good recruiters on this team besides maybe Golesh and Garner.

Just kidding. But in all honesty, I feel a defensive coaching change needs to be made. Sure, we’re suffering from Pruitt’s idiocy with our talent on defense, but the D calls tonight were atrocious. It looked like bad coaching despite the lack of talent. We’ve seen what good coaching on O can do, but we’ve seen what poor coaching on D with bad talent can NOT do.
I never want to see ol Cornbread on campus again, but we need a spark for defensive recruiting and coaching. Who do y’all reckon we should call?

Alot of players had bad games, but I'd be ok without ever watching Hadden play another down.

All the crap talking and poor body language actually pisses me off more than losing containment, face mask and holding penalties, and terrible tackling. Its been an ongoing thing with him all season. WRs make him look silly as they consistently catch first downs on him, and all he wants to do is chirp.

I know the excuse is how thin we are at CB, but I've had it with him.
