I'd rather have him back than not, but I didnt expect him back so the news does not come as a disappointment (though I like everyone else expected him to head overseas rather than transfer, which apparently he still might)Honestly surprised more people aren't upset about this. He's shown great talent, and has good size to athleticism for the college game.
Consistency was is biggest down side, but I'd rather he fix that here than somewhere else.
If he goes anywhere I think it will be a place he can be the star that they run offense through.
It’s all semantics. I don’t think lazy is necessarily the description, but he did take plays off and often didn’t hustle back up the court. He was the only player who didn’t bust his tail every minute. So you think every player on this team was lazy? Every one of them disappeared for stretches this season.
For Barnes' faults I don't think he has a problem benching lazy players, so I doubt anybody with significant minutes could be labeled as lazy.
Ding ding.I think he's just one of those guys that doesn't have the "motor" to go all out most of the time. I noted him standing around watching as others went after rebounds. Santi out-rebounded him often, and that should rarely happen.

He is a graduate transfer. To get into a good graduate program while on scholarship--especially for a Finnish "out-of-towner" sounds like a smart, long-term play. Hope he excels on and off the court.
He disappears more than he shows up. Can not rely on him producing. When he is cooking, we usually win. Problem, he is seldom in the kitchen.Kid played four years here and came back from a brutal injury to average 11/5/2 against one of the toughest schedules in the country and put Duke away basically single handedly. Sounds like it was the coaches’ decision to move him on but the disrespect in this thread is crazy.
Definitely the way it was back in my day. Though today, I wonder... Socio-political homogeneity has reached so far into even the STEM departments, I wonder how many schools have maintained their academic integrity?I know a few people I was grad school with that played sports transferred because it kind of looks bad to have the same school for Undergrad, Masters, and Doctorate programs.
My undergrad actually recommended that I move to another school because of this reason.

On the other hand, if Olivier plans to have a career in Europe, the EU is as rigidly committed to ESG policies as the most woke corporation in the U.S. Like my HS students from China, when he surveys the academic landscape, his job opportunities and future earnings back home will be decided by where he got his degree far more than what he learned or can produce with that degree.
Guys, this isn’t about graduate school
