NFL pays a ton more now. Guys are bigger, faster. If I was going Pro looking to be a 1 or 2 round pick and not coming back. If we weren't playing in the play off's. I'm getting ready for Pro Days and doing what's best for me and my family for me to be playing on Sunday. That's the dream of these guys that have been playing as kids, to make it to the NFL.
Getting hurt in a now meaningless bowl game when you're so close to realizing you dream is soul crushing. It's just risk vs reward
Just what I’ve heard I’m really hoping Bru and Hyatt and Fant play. I can understand Tillman not playing
If he plays he should play some meaningful mins but you'd have to think Clem would do their best to shut him down from getting it and sad as it is, some haters out that would be looking to crush him on purpose.Exactly. I'm glad I'm not in Hyatt's shoes. He's so close to breaking a big UT record, but he's being projected as a fringe late first/early 2nd round pick. If he plays and gets hurt, that blows up. If I were his parents, I would be incredibly torn as to the advice I would be giving him. Maybe they can talk to the coaches and get him the record and get him out. It's truly incredible the season he had. It goes to show you what personal accountability and insanely hard work will do for a player. Did anybody have any idea that he would be in the first round of any 2023 mocks just 3 months ago? In this day and age, you have to strike while the iron is hot.
I know it’s what the boys work so hard for but I also understand the risks . Especially after what happened to Hendon, it could literally cost them millions.
Hopefully one or both of Clemson's defensive lineman that are potential top 10 picks.
Especially considering how the Tillman injury impacted Hyatt's season. There is a totally different narrative if Ced doesn't go down against Akron.Exactly. I'm glad I'm not in Hyatt's shoes. What gm would take a player that can’t risk it for his team in playoffs ?Especially considering how the Tillman injury impacted Hyatt's season. There is a totally different narrative if Ced doesn't go down against Akron.
Expanded playoffs will kill interest in the bowls and the conference title games. I waiting to see who'll be the first kid to opt out of a playoff game. If the draft spot is pretty clear, like an obvious first round prospect, do you take the safety of knowing you sat out and did not get hurt, or do you play for a meaningless (monetarily speaking) title, and risk injury?
