Oregon is a better football team than Bubba

If there was a way l could see Oregon and Bama both lose the title game, that would be my ideal situation. I've come to despise the arrogance coming from the Oregon coaches, and some of their fans on this board seem to be counting titles they haven't won yet. Between McCarron and your typical Bama fan, I get sicker of listening to that garbage all the time as well. I hope somebody slips up and I can pull for the Seminoles in the title game. All that being said, I think Bama handily defeats Oregon by two touchdowns. Saban won't let his players fall for the head game stunts and tricks that is the Oregon offense, and as far as speed goes, the SEC is still the fastest in the land. Alabama is not afraid of speed. If you are counting on speed and option traps to beat Nick Saban and this Crimson Tide team, then you are vastly underestimating what you are up against.

bama couldn't do much against us in the second half of the game. Oregon is a second half team. I go oregon…. I don't think bama would score enough.

I believe Oregon is better. We know they haven't faced a top notch defense like Bama's but Oregon just has so many playmakers. Whatever they don't do well on Pass/Rush they make up for it by exploding in the other category. They will score on Bama. Maybe not 50,60,70 points but I'd say at least 20-40, and it would leave the game up to their defense

Colorado State 4-4
Ole Miss 5-3
Georgia State- 0-8
Kentucky- 1-6
Arkansas 3-5
Tennessee 4-4
Total record-17-30

Exactly ONE team with a winning record. So lets not get carried away:good!:

You conveniently left out Texas A&M.

But I hope you play bama and beat them. They need to be knocked down a few notches for the good of college football.

Bama let up on purpose in the second half. Don't forget it was 35-0 and were it not for a fumble on the one, it would have been 42-0.

I watched the first half of Oregon and UCLA. Oregon has nothing that Bama can't shut down. The PAC - 12 or 10 or whatever they're calling themselves, cannot hang with the SEC. Oregon will lose, and lose big, should they play Bama.

I only did that because the quote was, "playing better football then anyone in the country right now". I figured going all the way back to the beginning of the year would invalidate the argument.
But if I did it would strengthen the argument. Because everyone is talking about Alabama's unbeatable defense.....well A&M who plays similar to Oregon put up 42 against the "best defense in the country" so...there's that.

Regardless there is no sense in talking about Alabama when in 11 days we have #6 Stanford to deal with. IF, and that's a big IF, if we get by Stanford, then let the discussion began.

Wow. STANFORD? I bet you're quaking in your cleats. What a powerhouse team! The west coast is ridiculously over-rated. Let me simplify: SEVEN IN A ROW.

Wrong. FSU is ahead in the BCS rankings and they are not likely to lose and if they don't Oregon will be left out.

This completely wrong. Every BCS expert has said that Oregon will Jump FSU (probably as early as today) and will have no problem holding on if the Ducks stay undefeated

I'm with Beech. If Bama has a week to prepare...Oregon wins. You give Saban 2 months...and he is nearly impossible to beat. I would definitely be a "Duck for a day".

Oregon would not win 4 games in the SEC

Of course they are 4-2 in recent history vs. the SEC. And the two losses were to teams that played in the NC game the year the Ducks lost to them.

I think Bama would have one or two losses if they played in the PAC-12 North.

I agree that the SEC is down this year...mostly because of GA's and LSU's struggles. Both have been disappointing. As long as Muschamp is at Fla, I just don't expect much out of them.

The east is just bad. I think UT will have a win over the east champ.

LSU and A&M do not have the defense required.

The SEC still has the best team but have fallen everywhere else.

I don't think the Ducks match up well to Bama. Oregon has speed to burn at the skill but Bama has plenty of speed themselves on D. If this will be the NC game, the nod has to go to Saban, with a month to prepare, he is hard to beat. If this is the NC match up, I will be pulling hard for the Ducks though.
