Orson Charles (announcing at 4:30 pm EST)

Maybe Kiffin and Company are focused on spring football.

With what, 14 practices? They've got to make hay with those this spring.

When do they strap on the pads?

Maybe Kiffin has done all the talking that he needed to do. Maybe Kiffin will call him before he makes his decision. Who knows but we will all find out tomorrow.

15 questions with Orson Charles about Georgia, Tennessee and Southern Cal | College Football Recruiting

Q. When is the last time you’ve talked with the head coaches of all three schools? Georgia’s Mark Richt, Tennessee’s Lane Kiffin, and Southern Cal’s Pete Carroll? A. “I talked with [Richt] on Tuesday night, and I’m going to call Lilly in a little bit. Kiffin? It’s been a while. Carroll? He left me a message and I’m going to try him back in a few minutes.”

not good

It is all a ploy. OC has already verballed to UT. Kiffin and OC are pulling a Nuke and trying to keep it a surprise until Friday.

This is all good news! IMO

Yes, sir. It's just what it sounds like to me. The comment he makes about not hearing from Kiffin in a while seems rehearsed to me.

If true, I love the way CLK plays the recruiting game. That's sick. That's a blow to their most loyal fan base.

I enjoy watching UGA fans stand with their arms crossed for long, long periods of the UT/UGA game--especially between the hedges.

We own the Dawgs. CMR doesn't know how to use all that talent. Such is life.

Orson is signing on Friday as a side-note. Although everything I hear says it's as close as a coinflip between UGA and UT.

Something just isn't right about this. There is only 3 recruits left in this class and CLK hasn't talked to OC in a while. I find this hard to believe.

I'm afraid this guy is all UGA, but it does give me a little hope since we moved 2 of our TE to o-line and WR

Yep. We don't have a 'hybrid' TE position like they do.

I wonder how CMR states it...

"Come play for me, Mr. 4* NFL-bound, perfectly built and capable Tight End. We can use you in our 'hybrid' position. I don't know what that is, but you can see from the game tapes, I'm not a very good game-day coach. Did I mention the titanium-laced, dog-bone shaped helmet stickers we give our players for being on the field when the ball is snapped during a game? We can put a #7 on your dog-bone stickers."

I agree, this doesn't make sense unless he is avoiding the possibility of having to answer any questions pertaining to UT for some reason. Of course, he didn't say he hasn't talked to anyone else from UT either.

I still think he signs with UGA.

Tennessee? A. “Tennessee is a very good program. They have history. Another advantage is playing in front of 108,000 people. You wave your arm and the whole stadium shakes. All of their coaching staff comes from the NFL, so they know what it takes to get to that next level. You can tell their coaches have a passion for the game. They expect the best, and they want to win. The other teams want to do that, too. But I feel like something is different about Tennessee. They have a chip on their shoulder, which is good.”

This is from the same article. Honestly, with all his references to church, family, and Proverbs, seems like he may be leaning to UGA. I hate it!!! I cannot take any more crap from the red neck population in this area. I would MUCH rather he choose the SLACK 10 than go to Athens. Oh how I hate the Bulldogs. I actually pulled for Florida last year....HOLY CRAP! What is the world coming to???

I feel your pain brother. My in-laws are from Georgia and it is truly sickening at times. They are the worst fans. When they are winning they will not shut up. They make the most ignorant comments. They have had at least 3 running backs that was the next Herschel, and I am still waiting for that to happen. When things go wrong, they will not even discuss football, period. I have seen them leave a game at half time and go shopping because they were down by 2 TD's.

Back to the topic, if OC doesn't come to UT, I hope he goes anywhere but UGA. Sad thing is, I believe that is where he will end up. :realmad:

I too live in GA with these butt sniffers. I hate everything there is about GA athletics. EVERYTHING!!!

While I will acknowledge that CMR is a fine man with a love for family and his players, I don't feel he has what it takes to lead that program to a BCS title. OC should see that. How many top 5 recruiting classes have they had there? For crying out loud...WIN SOMETHING OR SHUT UP!!!

Hope we wind up OC..and then BB will jump on the Rocky Top Bandwagon.

Dang...some of these red necks still think their history is better than everybody because of 1980. Heck, CLEMSON has won a National Title since they have. BYU has won since they have. GEORGIA TECH has won since they have. What are all these recruits seeing there? It sure isn't recent history.
"Come to UGA...where underachieving isn't an exception...it's a way of life."

I love it when they say how they stole the top two recruits in TN, then I bring up how we got their 5A Player of the year Toney Williams and they are like "who". Then I bring up Eric Berry and his record breaking interception return against UGAG, and then they bring up how Fulmer likes Krispy Kreme

Totally clueless
