PAC-10 vs. the SEC

It's just funny that a guy in Florida's backyard that Florida (amongst other schools such as Ohio State, Florida State, Michigan, ND, etc.) pursued heavily won't go there...
Somehow, I think Florida will survive.

That explains nobody in the NFl being willing to use a draft pick on him.

Not his fault that NFL front offices are scared to draft a guy that's had past transgressions now that the league is under a microscope (not to mention the fact that Goodell is the commish). He'll be CJ2K's backup next year. It's all good.

Yeah, the NFL is all about choirboys now. That explains Pac Man's return. He didn't get drafted because he's Lawrence Phillips/Cecil Collins Redux.

Probably wants to play in a league where nobody plays championship level defense. That allows frauds like Joey Harrington to run up big numbers and steal NFL money. The SEC doesn't set up well for that.

Say what you want about us not playing as much defense, but I'd rather watch a high-scoring game than a 3-2 game. You'll never have to suffer through one of those in our conference.

Want to know where our 4 star QB commit per Rivals (#11 ranked QB in the Class of 2011) is from? Florida.

I wonder why the SEC couldn't reel him in...

Hmm, maybe because Florida has the number ONE QB for 2011 already committed, genius...you walked straight into that one.

We're about winning championships in the SEC. When's the last time anyone other than USC won one from your league? Hint: A long damn time and they only got half of it.

L.Blount might make the practice squad w/Tennessee.

Javon Ringer & Stafon Johnson are much better.

Wow I just fact checked you on this, and pretty much all of what you said is completely wrong. Dude is the 11th-ranked dual-threat QB, which means he's something like 16th or 17th at best among total QBs. Not even in the Rivals250 at all. No offer from Florida (or ANY OTHER SCHOOL IN THE SEC except South Carolina) or Ohio State or Notre Dame. And you're bragging about how you don't get leftovers. You guys really are like South Carolina fans...

No, we have a reason to talk, unlike SC.

Ohh yeah. You really stole that #20 QB that Florida never offered. I'm sure they're devastated having the best one in the nation.

So...why did they recruit him, then? It's not like what some recruiting service thinks matters anyway.

Better question: why did they NOT OFFER him...Lane Kiffin "recruited" some two-stars too, but we didn't take them until he left and our class started falling apart.

Oh, and for a team that doesn't depend on California, 10 of 23 signees are from there...and 17 of 26 the year before...

You were the one making up rankings and bragging.

That's right. The rankings mattered when he thought it favored his position. But, shockingly, he didn't have a clue what he was talking about.

Riiightt....

Tell me again, where did Oregon finish in the Pac-10 last year?
Where did they finish the seven previous seasons? While we're at it, how did your Rose Bowl against SEC pinata Ohio State go?

:birgits_giggle: USC has a bad year and Oregon fans think their dynasty has begun. It's cute, really.

USC has some serious sanctions against them, we're recruiting well, we return a ton of starters from a team that was highly successful last year (18 of 22 to be exact). I really don't know why you guys are acting like this was some kind of fluke.

It probably has something to do with you still not recruiting as well as SC and them winning the league the previous seven years.

And now they're in deep **** with the NCAA, Kiffin is their head coach, and for the next 2 years, they have nothing to play for. A bad brew of situations for them.

Chip Kelly's your coach and UO is still in the sticks. That's a far worse brew. You better win the PAC 10 this year. It'll be the last year you have the best setup for about 20 years.

Um...yes, we do have an offensive genius and a great leader for a coach. Such a terrible thing. UO is in a city slightly smaller than Knoxville and an hour and a half away from a city of 600,000 people.
