Pat Robertson is an ignorant fool! I swear.... no wonder people hate christians!

I'm no Christian, but Robertson and anyone who agrees with his take on this should check out Luke chapter 13 and the tower of Siloam.

This seems to have gotten missed. Can the people who say Haiti was getting punished explain why this verse doesn't apply?

Still trying everyday to get some God to smite me for my heathen ways. No such luck yet.

Golly I smite you all the time, don't that count??

Cause there ain't no fig trees in Haiti and everybody forgot about the dung in Port Royal?

When you least expect it, your elected, your the star today! Give it time! Prayers aren't always answered over night. Besides, God may be giving you time to see clearly.

Calling terrorists "pals" of an American president is absolute hyperbole and serves to make you look like an extremist, yourself.

More on what Clinton did.

The muslim terrorists of Kosovo named a street for him and erected a statue in Pristina while eraticating seven hundred years of Christian history by destroying all churches, monestaries and even desecrating Christian cemetaries in Kosovo and ethnically cleansing all Christians, Jews, Roma and several other sub groups.

Preach me so more muslim tolerance and diversity son.

Oct 29, 2009, Bill Clinton Boulevard, Pristina, Kosovo.

Where is the hyperbole??

What do you think the lingua franca of Yugoslavia is??
(I doubt you have the first clue.)

Clinton-bows-03-sm.jpg

This is written Arabic, a language that wasn't even used in the area except by a few islamic clerics before that piece of crap you call a president came along. Bill showed up to honor this dedication to the al Qaeda murderers in Bosnia. Date Saturday, March 20, 2003.

He bowed before it also. Oh and he picked up a neat $250,000 to line his pockets while he was there and on his way to other fund raising events in the middle east.

Less than ten miles away Clinton bombed a Serbian Christian villiage out of existance, and many of those there had been forced out of other towns being ethnically cleansed of non-muslims.

And just to really rub it in the Christian Serbs were forced to pay for this monument that is based on so many lies it should be called a monument to taqqya.

Slick Willy may have been a president but he was more than anything he was and is a traitor.

Now just what factoids do you dispute????

Hint, there is a cure for ignorance but so far science hasn't been able to do much for stupidity!!

Most people with any common sense understand that he does not speak for most Christians and know he is a nut case.

If you don't think his comments has any adverse impact on Christianity, then you have your head buried pretty deep.

It may on some, but those that it will impact probably already are not Christians and/or already have a negative view of Christianity.

Do you really want to use Serbia as an example? If so, let's look at both sides of the equation. Aren't these the same Christian Serbs that were responsible for the genocide of nearly a quarter million Bosnian Muslims? The ones who systematically raped Muslim women?
The Serbs led by Milosevic against whom the international community united?
The very same Serbs who sniped civilians, including women and children, in the streets of Sarajevo?

Let us also not forget the crusades, the inquisition, the reformation, burning of "witches", etc. High points of Christian history, indeed.

It is not my position that there is no violence in Islamic religions or any religion, for that matter. However, if you wish to make a blanket statement about a particular religion, you must also acknowledge the shortcomings of your own.

There is no pedestal upon which Christianity can stand to lob rocks at other religions. Christianity (and Christians) have been the cause of untold numbers of deaths throughout history.

What's the verse? Let those without sin cast the first stone?

Bye for now.

Hopefully I'll be back to fill in the blanks asap, a dear friend just passed from this life and I'm about to visit with her family, she lived to the ripe young age of 95+ in good health and living at home and here is a prayer she learned as a child which I hope to teach to my own grandchildren:

"Angel of God
My guardian dear
To whom his love
Commits me here
Ever this day
Be at my side
To watch and guard
To rule and guide."

If what you are saying is correct (about gsvols post), then you just did the same thing.

And you just called him out for making a blanket statement?

I didn't make a blanket statement about a specific religion while ignoring that other religions are guilty of the same things.

You called him out for making a blanket statement.

I don't fall under the "crusade" blanket, or the "Pat Robertson" blanket, or the "Jeremiah Wright" blanket, or the "Serbian" blanket. But I am a christian.

I guess I'm not sure what your point is. He made a blanket statement about one specific religion. I said that if you're going to do that, you need to consider the shortcomings of your own, as well. In effect, don't slam other religions for the things yours is guilty of, too.

I'm not sure what that has to do with you and what blankets you don't fall under, though.

Ok, let me try this again.

From what I read of your post, you called him out for making a blanket statement, that included Islam as a whole? Yes?

Yes. I then went on to point out that other religions (Christianity, in my example) have the same shortcomings. So, it's not fair to single out a particular religion.

I'm not making a blanket statement about a particular religion while ignoring others that have the same characteristics.

Not at all. Just like not all Muslims fall under GS's example.

Thats cool.

Read that particular post twice, to make sure I understood what you were saying. Just felt like, to prove your point, you used a broad brush, and didn't disclaim that all chrisitans did not fit the profile you used.

Bush sucks!

(just joining in on the political bashing that has absolutely no relevance to the OP)

:lolabove:
Well done! I'm sure someone in DC actually believes this.
As for PR, I'm just embarrassed as a Christian. I believe I saw where 80% of the Haitians are Catholics.
Just amazing that some people can view the world and God like this.
